I needed to take a break from some heavy shading so!! Here are some doodles on how Mandalorians in the Ovess clan greet each other!

The Burc’ya shake is a simple forearm shake. It’s done between friends or allies as a way of greeting them while also offering your arm for sparring. If you’re a Clan Leader like Din Djarin or Nika Ovess, then intitiating Burc’ya indicates a deep level of trust.

Burc’ya means ‘Friend’ in Mandoa.

The Aliit is for those who are courting or are loyal to each other. You gently tap your wrists together and entwine your hands before locking your fingers. Also, Aberu likes Cara. Like a lot.

Aliit means ‘family’ in Mandoa.

The most intimate and respected greeting, as well as the only Canon! greeting/farewell. The Keldabe Kiss allows you to enter someone’s safe space and breathe with them. It’s done between family (where you’ll clasp hands) and between spouses (who hold each other’s bodies).

Mandalorians know that in War, it is arrogant to believe victory is assured. A warrior is nothing if he fights dishonorably. The Keldabe Kiss is either a breathe of relief or a quiet prayer for a safe return.
