Things went really awry with my Jedi June plans, mental health struggles and the like. But I am proud of getting at least one done before the month is out! Below is the prompt fic for Jedi June, the prompt being Hope.

To celebrate the end of Jedi June, I present these exceptional young men. All Force-sensitive Rebel Alliance operatives who came into their own after the fall of the Order. All guided in the ways of the Jedi by a survivor of Darth Sidious's purge. And all, in their own ways, setting the stage for the return of the Jedi Knights to the galaxy.

Look who wrote one who thing for @jedijune. I wrote it very early too, so intended to get at least a few more out but that doesn't appear to be happening.

Anyway, this takes place after the First Battle of Geonosis, and is largely just a meditation on grief, filling the first surviving / thriving prompt, admittedly mostly on the surviving front

also, despite the grim title it's not dark at all

I am starting to tap out on poses so, as we are less than two days away from the end of drawingeverythingjune2025 and jedi june, this will be my last imposed pose, I think.

I have one more from this year and one more from last year I want to finish before I keel over.

I won't have the time to shade this one but I want you to appreciate that before I splatter purple everywhere for a more celebratory mood, I did draw them in their (more or less) canon colors.

Plo Koon encounters something strange: Obi-Wan, traumatized and protecting two newborn infants. It quickly becomes apparent that the reality this Obi-Wan comes from is not Plo's own. Plo walked calmly towards the standoff and stopped just short of it in mild surprise.

When his men had contacted him with the information that they were engaged in a tense standoff with a distressed and disoriented General Kenobi, Plo had assumed it had been some trick of the enemy. Obi-Wan, he knew, was currently at the Temple, and even on the fastest ship could not have reached Plo’s deployment in the time since Plo had last spoken with the Council.

Yet, the man in front of him was no trick, holding his lightsaber out as a warning, but not yet preparing to strike as he glanced warily from trooper to trooper. He was no copy or illusion, his presence clear in the Force despite how much pain dulled it.

And his was not the only presence, Plo realized, two bright spots in the Force in a hastily constructed sling around him. One of them gave a loud cry, and the troopers startled.

“General, is that a baby‽”

Obi-Wan’s grip on his lightsaber tightened, a sense of reluctant preparation coiling around in the Force. It was evident that he did not want to risk the children in a fight, but the sense of being cornered was palpable.

It was good that Plo had come. For some reason, Obi-Wan, however he had come here, believed the men were a threat, and this situation could easily escalate. Offering as much serenity as he could find these days, Plo stepped forward.

“Master Kenobi.”

Obi-Wan turned, and his eyes widened. Tension bled away from the Force.

“Master Plo, you’re alive!” A bone-deep relief suffused his words. Obi-Wan glanced back at the 104th, brow furrowed. “Your men, they haven’t…they didn’t…”

The final Chapter of my Jedi June fic is up!! It's a bit rushed (I had a very busy week) and a bit more of an epilogue than I intended it to be, but I think it wraps up the story about as well as I could hope for. It was wonderful to work on, and I'm contemplating doing more with the main oc in the future, though that probably wouldn't happen for a while.

"Anjou, where have you dragged me?"

"We're on Batuu, in the Black Spire Markets."

"And why are we here?"

"Just trying to put your lessons into practice."

"Which lesson is that?"

"Finding light among the dark, Master K'Nish. Especially through food."

"Dark, I can sense. Where is the light?"

"In my hope Master. Hope for Kat Satas food stall, their roasters tend to be… temperamental."

"Hrm."

The pair rounded the corner, the smells of roasted grains filling the air. Tangs of spice wafted over, enticing all manner of folk to the stall.

"Bright sun! How can I help you?"

"We're here for the outpost burstgrains, are the roasters running well?"

"They are! I'll get two orders filled!"
