Hello and good afternoon to all. I just came to give my in-depth review of the 3d modelling software, Maya. First: Maya has WAYYYYY too many goddamn windows. While i understand that Maya'a versatility and ability to do many things at once, as well as being the main program used by many in the industry, as WELL as being the pioneer in many 3d modelling software features, at this point the amount of outdated, broken, or otherwise unusable assets clog up the interface, making it difficult to work with. Maya also is unforgiving as HELL. Unless you have some fancy 1000 dollar computer with fucking 1 billion gpus and rams and horses or whatever the fuck your computer will LAG and Maya will FREEZE UP and die (kill ur project ur working on). Maya ALSO has a wonderful tendency of just doing shit and not letting you know in any way. I will accidentally hit a hot key and fuck if i or ANYONE knows what it did because there is no visible way to show what happened. Now all of these things??? Would not be so bad but the fUCKING PRICE POINT???? WITH THE LEVEL OF UNPROFESSIONALISM AND HOSTILITY MAYA TREATS ME WITH??? FOR OVER 1,000 BUCKS A YEAR?????? U GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!! MISS ME WITH THAT BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!

All in all, 7/10 program, im sure blender is better if only because its free but i havent used it so i cant comment on that, but theres also a lot of crap 3d modelling software out there that doesn't allow you to get as detailed and have so much compatibility with other programs as maya.

This was mostly just a rant bc i am frustrated with 3d modelling homework assignments
