go my ruin corp

Below this sentence is me yapping about the origins of these guy in terms of process of creation and eventually their backstories summarized(?) in low-effort bullet points.

Yeah. um. Hi! I got four (technically there are five) little guys to share that I made all the way back in February, which is basically some way after I first stumbled onto this AU. Perhaps if I found Operation Ichor earlier, I might've entered the first competition but unfortunately I was too late for that.

Despite that, though, when I was making them, I originally had them as Team November (N because non-canon lol) in Gardenview, because I thought it would be cool to make a team even if they wouldn't be in the actual story. This competition, however, actually gave me the necessary push to actually draw them (before it, I literally never colored them at all because I was too lazy and didn't even think about their colors too) and the courage to share them.

I tried to cover how they would contribute to battle and everything in their own images but here are the roles I assigned each one in case that would give more context to what they do.

(I got dissatisfied with Tempura's character and couldn't decide what faction he would join which is why he's not submitted)

Backstories do get a little intertwined though with Goob and Bleach . If one ends up winning, I'm perfectly fine with an entirely new character being made up to replace the other, if that would make it more fair!

anyways actual backstories now. idk if these make sense but I hope they give some more insight into my little guys

GOOB:

Lived only with his sister, Amalga. Parents are dead.

Fall happens. Wandered and struggled until they found an establishment that was doing ok

Goob tries to pick out a name. He decides on "Mation" because his sister was "Amalga" and they could be "amalgamation" --- he thought it was cute at least

Zodiac ambushes establishment before he can do that. Only Goob and Amalga survive, but Amalga is now a partial twisted and Goob is near death

Zodiac kidnaps Amalga

A Tisha (later named "Bleach") happens to be there at the right moment and saves Goob.

Goob clings onto her because being alone is suddenly a reality and it's really scary because he's always had someone with him. His sister. But now she's gone.

Bleach was originally like no but then she was ok with it. And so they were buddies or something

They join Ruin Corp. Goob joins Harmony to get his sister back.

SION:

Born to rich parents that threw their money around a lot

Until they lost all their money because they trusted the wrong people.

Because of that, Sion decides to not be like their parents and not waste anything. AKA the start of their obsession with being efficient --- The more time they spend bettering themself, the more worth that they will have. No time for frivolous entertainment.

During the Fall, when they were running away from twisteds, the right side of their head was smashed and had water dumped on it. They could luckily still function, but needed to fix themself soon.

Joins the Merchant Order so that they could trade for parts and information.

Eventually fixes their head. Kinda. Some of the damage was permanent.

Now that their head is fixed, their purpose for being in the Merchant Order is over… so they hop over to the Syndicate Faction of Ruin Corp, believing that the world needs a new status quo to be, well, more efficient!! It's all about the optimization, and the fact that Sion needs something big to work towards.

BLEACH:

Original name was Kiki. When her ability manifested, she accidentally blinded her parents and was consequently abandoned and ostracized.

A faction of assassins took advantage of her vulnerability and took her under her wing. --- She was stripped of her former identity and replaced with a killer.

The faction originally tried to stick together during the Fall, but everyone quickly turned on each other to survive.

She escapes and now she's alone and distrustful and killing every single thing that gets close to her (twisted or toon) --- She likes to save people on the verge of death though. She still wants to be useful.

Meets Goob, saves him, and proceeds to be followed by him. --- And named by him. He calls her "Bleach" because he thought she made bleach which. She doesn't know if that's true but sure

Follows after Goob into Harmony, but switches to Revolt because the goal is killing the Tyrant, right? She can kill things. That's something she's good at. --- Besides, she can help Goob like this still. Zodiac revolves around the twisteds. Surely if the big bad of them were to be killed, Zodiac would eventually disperse. --- Because of the situation with Goob's sister, Bleach chooses to view "partial twisteds" as "partial toons" and will leave them alone unless they attack.

BOWIE:

They were just a kid who liked to make people happy with their illusions. Even wanted to become a magician

Fall happened. Stuck close with her parents. It was just the three of them for a while.

Until while running away from a massive horde of twisteds, their parents accidentally abandoned them when they tripped and fell under some rubble. --- When she decided it was safe to go up, they were nowhere to be seen.

Feeling deeply hurt, they try to find other people as "replacements." People they can trust as much as they trusted their parents.

But they only ever seem to find the wrong people that abandon her or toss her aside or use her as bait and maybe she should really just do this all alone. --- They can't seem to trust anyone in this world, after all. They need to be able to survive by themself.

Eventually joins the Syndicate, because she's done with this whole lawless world thing. --- If there's order, maybe they could trust people again? They want to trust people.

So about another competition…

Ruin Corp is a mercenary group, so uniforms vary and is up to your mind to create.

6 toons (2 for each faction) will be chosen and they will be co leaders for the ruin corp Apexes. Some characters not chosen can show up as background characters.
