Arduino Whistle Detector Switch using Sound Sensor As a kid I was fascinated by a toy music car which gets triggered when you clap your hands, and then as I grew up I wondered if we can use the same to toggle lights and fans in our home. It would be cool to just turn on my Fans and lights by just clapping hands instead of walking my lazy self to the switch board. But often times it would malfunction as this circuit will respond to any loud noise in the environment, like a loud radio or for my neighbor’s lawn mower. Although building a clap switch is also a fun project to do.

Oh, and one more thing. If you guys ever have kids and one of them, when he’s eight years old, accidentally sets fire to the living room rug- go easy on him.

Top Open Source IoT Platforms to Cut Down Your IoT Development Cost Just like with software, there are several IoT APIs available for different tasks, but most of them usually do not come free. For today’s tutorial, we will be looking at the top 10, very useful (in our opinion) Open Source IoT APIs to help you cut down on your development cost and time. These APIs are Open, free (or have free packages) and can be used by not just professionals but also makers, hobbyist and pretty much anyone who finds them useful and is okay with the terms of use. These APIs are listed in no particular order, were selected randomly across verticals, and are probably not comparable as they perform different tasks.

What is Switch Bouncing and How to prevent it using Debounce Circuit Simply, we can say that the switch bouncing is the non-ideal behavior of any switch which generates multiple transitions of a single input. Switch bouncing is not a major problem when we deal with the power circuits, but it cause problems while we are dealing with the logic or digital circuits. Hence, to remove the bouncing from the circuit Switch Debouncing Circuit is used.

DIY Arduino Based Color Sorter Machine using TCS3200 Color Sensor Here in this tutorial we will make a color sorting machine using a color sensor TCS3200, some servo motors and Arduino board. This tutorial will include the sorting of colored balls and keeping them in the relevant color box. The box will be in the fixed position and the servo motor will be used to move the sorter hand to keep the ball in the relevant box.
