Hello, all.

I'm really sad that it's come to this but my mother and I are in financial bind. I'm a recent graduate, with all the debt that that entails. My father, who semi-frequently provided small financial assistance has become absent, and his phone is off--this was formerly our only way to reach him so without that we're really in trouble.

At this point, my mom has used her last paycheck for the next month to pay off the mortgage and to buy about another week's worth of groceries, but our utilities risk being turned off, and we don't have money for more groceries after this next week or so. In addition to my mother and myself, we're also caring for my little sister, my brother's son (my brother works very long hours and can't take care of him right now), and a family member who was in a car accident and commutes to his hospital from our home (he can't work while injured), a cat, and a puppy (I want to be all-inclusive of the household members). I've applied for several jobs and was able to accept an offer, but I can't begin until early August and my first paycheck won't actually be until the end of August. That not being enough, I actually have to move for the job, pay initial deposits on the new apartment, commute to my place of employment, pay my first month of rent, and overall be able to take care of myself in terms of food and actual furnishings so that I can at least prepare food for that first month or so before that paycheck comes in.

These bad situations are compounding quite rapidly like they never have before, and that's why I've come to tumblr. I don't necessarily have a goal amount. My mom probably needs about 500 USD to recover her account and be able to pay off our bills in small portions and afford groceries, and my first month of rent will be around 500 USD.

That said, any amount no matter how small will be a great help. I'll take whatever can be offered at this point, and it will go toward bills, groceries, and my deposit. It will be put toward perscription medication that I haven't been able to afford recently and an overdue medical bill of about 55 dollars. If you would donate even a few dollars or cents it would all help toward us getting back on our feet after this series of financial blows.
