My Final evaluation on Tiny Worlds
I felt this was a challenging project to do, it was more difficult without face to face learning and support, therefore I was learning and developing alone and tried my best without the face to face support, as a visual learner who learns best by shown and watching instead of verbal instructions therefore a lot of the development I had gained up until Marched had slowed down and forgotten a lot of the skills I was practicing in class. I found the “Finding Light” project a hard challenge for me, as someone not used to looking for light and I still struggled with my focusing. So, it took me a long time to come up with an idea on how to set up and an idea on storytelling. During my research I learned about Tatsuya Tanka work and his amazing job on his project which was Medical-Check Up calendar on the month and dates, I chose a similar idea for my own Tiny worlds project and storytelling using gummy bears.
Once I got my idea, I started thinking on how I was going to plan this and make sure to be prepared. I set up different cases to look like hospital beds in a ward, toilet roll to look like a MRI scanner, and so on. I had started by drawing my plan for my 10 final images, I then used drawings to create my set and create my story with the gummy bears, I then planned using natural lighting and using an reflector to help light the set. Of course, using natural light was difficult and it largely depended on the weather. I thought then to use artificial lighting if the weather did not produce a nice bright light for my set. It would also affect my autofocus if I could not light the set properly.
My idea about the gummy bears was that I could use different colours, the colours I wanted to use was like the traffic lights system – green means healthy, yellow means tired, unwell, poorly, red means life is in danger, serious illness and so on. I thought of this because the world is in a crisis with this COVID and thought it would be interesting to create something linked to medical and try to create different emotions in each scene.
I use colour grading in my project to enhance the colour in each photo. I wanted to express a type of emotion or feeling. When someone is ill, they usually feel sad, that feeling is often linked to the cooler colours such as blue, purple and so on. but when someone is happy that feeling is normally linked to warmer colours such as orange, yellow and so on. so, I wanted to make the viewers emit that same emotion when looking at these photos. I used YouTube tutorials for my colour grading as much as I can to help my work improve. I also tried to get the best composition for my pictures as this is also especially important to interpret a story to the viewers. I also needed to make it interesting and nice to look at. Recognize that I need a lot of improvement on my lighting, composition and focusing but I feel my skills since august have improved significantly and I am proud of the achievements I have made. I want to continue to practice and hone my skills when I finish college and intend to not give up taking photographs.

Colour Grading
What is Colour Grading
Colour Grading is a process in photography where you can make changes to the visual tones. It is so you can make changes and enables more control to the colour of a video or photograph. When using the Colour Grading option, you can choose to put in slight or moderate changes to an image and transform it the subject to art of photography. the images depending on whether it is warmer or cooler colours can impact your work.
Lots of people in photography and art can often take innocent information on the colour grading and make sure that it was right information, both was different paths in many ways. The Colour correction means to make sure that different parts of images are correct colouring and maybe to enhance the colouring to make it perfect. The common correction means adjustment in the white balance and contrast, exposure, highlight and noise. The process includes on adjustment in curves, hue and saturation on solid colour and level.
I think the use of colour grading and the use of different colder or warmer tones in images can make the viewer feel connected and it may link to their emotion and causes flashback on TV shows and Film poster Advent can promote on more photography.

Plan shooting – Tiny Worlds

Location-
For the Location of my tiny worlds I chose to do it in the kitchen I looked at different creative ideas from the internet and decided I will try to shoot something around “Medical check-up” for my project, I will try to link the image to the background and maybe use toilet or kitchen rolls, this will be challenging but I will try my best for this project.
Lighting –
I intend to use kitchen therefore hopefully be able to use daylight from the windows, I will also use a reflector to reflect more light to enhance the quality, of course this all depends on the weather. I will need to focus on my framing to also make sure this light will work for my project. This may take me a few tries to make sure my project can be improved on and to work on my lighting skills at home which can be challenging for my project. I hope this will go well but may need to prepare a back-up plan. Such as artificial lighting.
Equipment-
I will use a tripod, reflector, Cannon 700D - on camera- auto focus or I may use iPhone. I will try to play around with different settings such as: ISO - 200-800, Aperture – f2.8-13 to try and get the perfect white balance and to achieve a clear well exposed image. I will also try different shutter speeds which is why I intend to use a tripod. This will allow me to frame the subject before taking the picture and when I feel like it is the perfect composition, I can try different shutter speeds to see what different effects I can make. I need to remember to take my time and not rush and panic.
I will use toilet or kitchen rolls and small people, I may as well try different small boxes which I seen on the internet which I do not have at hand at the moment, I have asked my mum to be my assistant and help me with my work, her job will be to help with the reflector to reflect light to brighten up the subject and to support me.

Information-Forced Perspective Photography
Forced perspective is a skill which can make objects appear further away or much closer, it can also make the object much larger or smaller than it is. It is a technique which employs optical illusion. This is mostly used in photography, filmmaking and architecture. It manipulates the human visual perception using scaled objects and the correlation between them and the vantage point of the spectator or camera.
Forced perspective will be important to my project because I will be trying to portray a small world as if it is real. The challenge is to try and find different ideas which I can create a forced perspective image. I will need to be able to use iPhone or camera at different views choose how to set up different ways to effectively use camera or iPhone. It is a struggle to come up with a story or create patterns in the images to link each image to tell a story and I am unsure how create an idea that may or may not be too crazy or boring. I will try my best to create a tiny world and tell a good story inside these images. Whether it is successful or not.
