I swear it’s been years since I tried designing a fursona character but I saw something the other day that inspired me to try again ;v ;

The concept is a cross between a carnevale jester and a ragdoll cat (I tried other species in the past but I guess I was always destined to go with a cat 😅) The vest and ears portion would be a silk-like quilted kind of fabric instead of fur and ideally lots of metallic golden embroidery and pearl embellishments✨

been toying around with the idea of selling stickers and made these designs based off Percy, even gave him a Valentines version💖🐍

Creek and Garde a la @saturncoyote (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ the spores have made their way into my brain and I’ve been thinking about these two a lot 🥺💕 especially now that they’re a big happy family🫶

I like to think that Garde helped gather fragrant and pretty foliage to add to Creek’s hair-nest, but the leaf didn’t exactly compliment the egg’s colors like he hoped it would

While most of what I did for the zine was behind-the-scenes stuff and backgrounds, I also had fun making the pfp icons for the blog and some of the customized “sticker” assets for the stories! These are just a few of my favorites 🥰

Had this idea a while back about Choir trolls and what they’re like, mostly I think they’re very similar body-shape and culture wise to Classical trolls (basically sister tribes). They are also lead by a composer/director and live in a high-altitude cloud like city. Occasionally they invite Classical trolls over to join in concerts (they already have a pipe organ in their main concert hall so it doesn’t have to travel)

The main differences being their wings are more bird-like instead of bug/fairy-like, since choirs are typically compared to angels and as a nod to cherubs. Their hair isn’t kept in powdered wig styles but is still very curly and cloud-like. While Classical trolls can’t wear a lot of clothing due to it getting in the way of instruments, Choir trolls love to wear long robes of simple subdued colors (and gold), depending on the occasion. The extra fabric billows and drapes around them as they hover and can add to the haunting feel of a more solemn song or grandeur to an angelic song

following the Disney post, what are the brothers favorite horror movie and/or musical?

ok I’m not as familiar with horror as I am with disney, but here are my thoughts:

John Dory - likes a classic slasher, lots of practical effects, iconic monsters/murderers (Chucky, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th)

Bruce - if he doesn’t have to pick anything family friendly, will side with JD. Also likes low-budget/indy horror

Clay - prefers murder mysteries to watching murders, but if he wants to be scared will go for a suspense/phycological horror, the kind where you don’t ever see a monster but are still on the edge of your seat (The Silence of the Lambs, Blair Witch Project)

Floyd - prefers not-scary scary movies, specifically doesn’t like too many jumpscares or gore, likes ghost stories and sometimes sides with Clay (Monster House, Corpse Bride, A Haunting in Connecticut (the documentary not the film))

Branch - isn’t bothered by any particular type of horror movie, will pretty much watch whatever, also likes documentaries about anything horror-related

worth noting that JD and Clay often butt heads when deciding what to watch bc Clay thinks bloody slashers are tacky but JD doesn’t see the point in watching a “scary movie with no monsters”

What if the brozones watches Disney movies together which movie they are trying to watch?

Ohh that is a good question 🤔 so many options…

Here’s my thoughts on who would pick which movie:

John Dory - Lion King or 101 Dalmatians (he relates to Simba for having lost his father young and inheriting a big responsibility or 4, and is also certainly a dog person)

Bruce - Ratatouille or A Goofy Movie (cooking! also he loves to joke that he’s like Remy at his and Brandy’s restaurant, and he gets sentimental at the Goofy and Max bonding moments) He has to be careful though because his kids burn him out on a lot of movies

Clay - Bambi (is more serious/realistic for a disney movie, generally doesn’t care for most fairytale based or animated disney movies but this is an exception)

Floyd - Aristocats (the kittens are his favorites, always wanted to try Creme de la Creme with crackers) will watch any movie the others pick too, he’s the most “Disney adult” of the bunch

Branch - Fantasia (the least interested in disney movies, but if he gets bored or distracted from watching he doesn’t mind the music playing in the background while he does other things)

A look back on my year, oops all Trolls edition👏

One thing I learned: most months got maybe 1 or 2 posts, not a whole lot and I would've liked to draw more, but I did way more than 2023. So actually I did pretty good :) I don't see myself falling out of the trolls fixation anytime soon so here's to hopefully another year of the sillies 🫡🎉

So I saw your other blog about the zine that you're doing and I was wondering if you'll MAYBE do another one soon? Cuz I honestly wanna be a part of one😭

Do I know how a zine works?Well,not really! But I really wanna try something new and fun!

So yeah,if you do plan to make another zine in the future,that would be great 😊

Hi!! I definitely WANT to run another one in the future! It’ll depend on a few things and if I do it won’t be for a while after this one releases (I wanna make sure everyone and me gets a break before starting again), maybe a few months to a year but we’ll see. You’re not the only one I’ve seen who didn’t/couldn’t join this one and wants to join another, so it’s possible there’s a Volume 2 down the line.

You can always follow the zine blog to stay in the loop, that’s where I’m posting all news about it and would definitely post about a future zine from there too.

So far I’m really enjoying the process with everyone🥰 It’s definitely a unique community project and I hope you can be a part of a future one!

Deviating from my usual content for a moment but I was commissioned by my brother to paint my dad as an “old-timey pirate” for his birthday! (and I finished today, ON his birthday 😮‍💨) This is so far out of my comfort zone but I think it’s decent enough to present to him :)
