I just reread the middle Soojin headcanons and thought about how I would love that Soojin's current foster family was Hwasa and Wherein, like they are both such gentle, open, funny people it would help Soojin heal.

Besides, she could spend time with Moonsun too, she was already close with Moonbyul in real life, it just fits so well.

100% agreed, it took soojin a while to trust the both of them and to tell them anything about herself but as she slowly started to warm up to them she relized they were all that bad.

hwasa and wheein didn’t want to introduce her to moonbyul and yongsun right away because they knew how the two can get sometimes so they introduced them one at a time.

“Excuse me, young lady,” Nayeon sighed, sending daggers in Mina’s direction.

“Excuse me, young lady,” Mina mocked in return, shaking her head.

“Mina!” Nayeon scolded. If there was one thing in the world she hated, it was being mocked.

“Yes, Nayeon?” Mina smirked, looking towards the older woman. They were in the kitchen trying to finish Mina’s math homework.

Jeongyeon would’ve helped but she got called into the fire station so dropped Tzuyu and Jihyo off quickly.

However, Mina was clearly not in the mood for it.

“You’re on your last warning, little girl,” Nayeon warned, pointing a finger at Mina. Mina rolled her eyes before moving her left leg on the chair to rest her head.

“Yeah yeah, pretty sure I was on my last warning hours ago,” she mumbled, pulling her phone from her pocket. 

At that, Sana came in, walked around the table and snatched the phone from Mina’s hand. Mina gasped eyes going comically wide and reached for it.

“Sit down and show some respect,” Sana hissed, done with Mina’s attitude.

“I am! That’s my phone you can’t take it!” Mina cried out, jumping up and down to try and reach the outstretched phone.

“You can have it back when you stop being a brat,” Sana said matter-of-factly. She turned and walked from the room to the basement and Mina went to charge after her but Momo stood between the brunette and the door.

“Momo move!” Mina screeched, squeezing her eyes shut, moving her hands into fists, visibly shaking and making her voice as loud as it could.

“No can do pretty girl, sit down,” she said, shaking her head. Mina huffed, stomped her foot, and glared at everyone in the room before throwing herself on the ground like a toddler. 

“Mina,” Nayeon sighed, watching her girl begin to cry. Mina had been stressed out all day and Nayeon seriously debated even doing the homework with her but relized the homework was left to the night before so it had to be done.

Mina continued her fit on the floor, kicking about her legs and her arms but the family learned to ignore it. Jihyo continued her picture book about ladybugs and Tzuyu continued playing animal crossing on the switch.

However, Nayeon couldn’t help but feel like something was seriously wrong with her baby.

Nayeon was sat with Tzuyu in her lap, fixing her hair into a braid for bed still waiting for Jeongyeon to come back - looks like a sleepover night again.

Mina started to feel more calm, deciding to do her skin care, put on a vinyl, get a cold glass of water and brush her teeth.

There was still so much going on through her brain that she just wanted to sleep it all away.

Her nightmares had come back recently, becoming more frequent. Mina waking up sad, not scared or stressed just… sad. The nightmare presented memories of the past, soaked in a shape of love she can't feel anymore.

“Do you want to talk?” Nayeon asked, leaning lightly on the door frame of Mina’s room, the girl lightly shook her head. Mina didn’t feel like she had the energy. Nayeon hummed walking to the foot of her bed.

“Bedtime, huh?” Nayeon gave a soft smile, rubbing soothing circles on Mina’s right leg. Mina shrugged and closed her eyes. Nayeon sighed and leaned over to stroked the girl's tight fist before moving a stray bit of hair out her face. 

“I’ll talk to your teacher tomorrow honey,” Nayeon whispered leaning in to give Mina a kiss to the four head, “Good night, I love you.”

Mina let out a long breath, closing her eyes tight and listen to the music softly playing in the background, “I love you too mama.”

✭ Kahei’s little age is usually about 1-4 but after a particularly tough day she gets younger

✭ her nickname when regressed is Bibi, to help herself and the members differentiate between big Kahei and little Kahei

✭ she’s very quiet, normally forgets korean so feels like everyone just ignores her when really they just don’t understand

✭ main mamas: Sooyoung/Haseul

✭ always and forever tired, naps are a must or she’ll be so cranky

✭ gets home sick once every couple of months

✭ lisp from constantly having her thumb in her mouth, Haseul tried to move her to pacifier’s but she doesn’t like the plastic feeling

Nayeon turned the corner to go into the kitchen to grab a snack and could see Mina and Soojin sitting at the island tapping away at their phones.

As she got closer she could see Soojin smiling and blushing down at her phone. “Who’s got you smiling like that Jinjin?”

Soojin raised her eyebrow and gave a light giggle. “My fri- friend Sooyoung! She asked me t-to hangout!” She explained, Mina giving her a cheeky smile from across the table.

“Sooyoung? Hmm I’ve never heard of a Sooyoung before?” Nayeon questioned, placing her pointer finger up at her chin.

“They met during private study; Sooyoung seems nice, I think she’ll be good for Soojin.” Mina added glancing up from her phone.

“What’re you’s going to be doing?” Nayeon asks, grabbing an apple and leaning on her arms at the island.

“She wan-wants to go to the ska-skate park! And and she’ll bring her ska-skateboard and I’ll wear m-my roller skates!” Soojin fumbled, tapping her fingers on the table excitedly.

“That sounds wonderful Blondie!” Nayeon said as she bit into her apple, “Make sure to text me or Mina incase you need anything, yeah? If you need picked up just text.”

“Tha-thank you Miss Im! I ne-need to start getting re-ready, c’mon Mina!” Soojin beamed, standing from the table and grabbing Mina’s are to drag her upstairs.

“Remember; text me if you need me.” Nayeon reminded Soojin as she came down the stairs, roller skates tied around her neck.

Soojin hummed while nodding her head, glancing over at the clock and realising she should leave.

“See you la- later guys.” Soojin hesitated a little before leaving through the side door.

Sooyoung looked stunning, Soojin didn’t know what to say as she gawked at her.

“You okay girl? Something wrong?” Sooyoung croaked pulling her skateboard up and sitting beside Soojin on a bench.

“Yeah! I’m -I’m fine!” Soojin blushed looking down at her hands.

Sooyoung glanced down at her hands aswell, grabbing one and pulling Soojin to her feet.

“Can I push you about while you skate?” Sooyoung questioned giving her a lopsided smile.

“Mhm.” Soojin hummed feeling Sooyoung’s hand in her own, rubbing her thumb over Sooyoung’s vains.

Sooyoung started walking as Soojin glided behind her, then started jogging.

Soojin giggled as the wind blew her hair out her face, wriggling her hand out of Sooyoung’s and did a spin.

“That was so cool!” Sooyoung gasped.

“Thanks.” Soojin whispered glancing down at the ground.

They skated about for a while, then Sooyoung heard the ice cream van.

“You want anything from the van? I’ll get it.” Sooyoung skated back over to Soojin giving her a small nudge.

“Um… I do-don’t mind, you don’t ne-need to.” Soojin mumbled playing with the rim of her skirt.

“I’ll be right back, yeah? I’ll get you something you’ll love.” Sooyoung added running over to the van and waiting in the line.

Soojin waited anxiously; wondering what Sooyoung would be getting her and if she’d like it.

“Okay! I’m back!” Soojin jumped as Sooyoung came back hold up two ice cream cones. One with strawberry sauce, the other with blueberry sauce.

“I didn’t know what flavour you’d like so you can try both and pick a favourite.” Sooyoung blurted giving Soojin that lopsided smile again.

Sooyoung handed Soojin the strawberry sause ice cream cone and Soojin took a small lick, humming with satisfaction. Then tried the blueberry one and pinching her eyebrows together.

“I think we have a winner… strawberry?” Sooyoung questioned.

“I re-really love stra-strawberry.” Soojin nodding as Sooyoung gave her the strawberry cone back.

“It’s ge-getting a bit late.” Soojin said looking up to the stars.

“Mhm, it is.” Sooyoung agreed resting her hand over the top of Soojin’s.

“Tha-thank you for bu-buying me the i-ice cream, I’ll see you later.” Soojin said giving a gummy smile up at Sooyoung.

“See you later, blondie!” Sooyoung shouted as Soojin walked away. Glancing back, Soojin gave her a wave and texted Mina she was on her way back to her house.

Momo was difficult to others. 

Momo’s arms wrapped around the familiar stuffie, drawing a deep breath to inhale the scent of safety. It was a homemade bear stuffie, having found instructions of making one on the internet. She had run to Mina, asking for help to put it together.

Momo had tried her hardest to sew together the stuffie, yet inevitably had a meltdown when it had gone wrong. Mina, the next day shown up with a finished bear, having sat up all night in order to finish the stuffie.

She was once again hugging it, drawing it close for the comfort she was seeking.

A soft knock on the door drew her attention up only to return to her feet. She listened as the door opened, footsteps entering her room as she continued looking downwards, still calming down.

There was a clink at her side, which prompted her head to turn curiously to find a meal placed on her desk. Her eyes took in the noodles, no vegetables and no sauce or additions.

“It’s one of the green packets.” Sana reassured without having to be asked, Momo’s shoulders slumping in relaxation at the confirmation.

“Also brought some milk.” Mina adds, giving Sana a little nudge.

“We’ll be in the living room.” Sana says, turning around towards the door Mina following suit.

“Wait…” Momo whispers, finally looking up at them.

The women’s feet halt, both heads turning to meet Momo’s form, curled up on her bed as she looked on with eyes that spoke a million words. Her lips moved yet no sounds formed, prompting Sana to smile and Mina interrupt the spiraling descent of distress the other was experiencing.

“We understand. It’s no problem.” Mina reassured casually, seeing the smaller girl hug the stuffie tighter.

Sana and Mina knew the ways Momo worked, they had no issues about it, and Momo knew it.

Momo was difficult, but not to them.

✭ Soojin’s age ranges a little younger than Mina’s, hers is from 13-16

✭ like Mina, Soojin has the same exact friends; she’s too shy to step out her safety bubble

✭ she doesn’t have the best family life, in and out of foster homes but she’s been in a stable one for a little over 2 years now

✭ normally prefers staying at a friend’s house rather than her foster house; she’s comfortable there but she always gets this feeling he’ll come back

✭ needs white noise to fall asleep and can never ever fall asleep in the dark

✭ sleeps with a teddy and baby blanket her birth mother gave her before giving her up

✭ when she’s feeling smaller she normally goes from biting her lip to sucking her thumb in a heart beat

✭ lips constantly pouting

✭ “they mistook my kindness for weakness”

✭ Soojin’s a chronic tiptoe walker, mainly because her childhood; light/delicate steps so he wouldn’t hear her

✭ she’s sometimes mute; can go days without uttering a word. Mina and Yubin know the reason but got told never to tell anyone

✭ Soojin’s really bad at holding eye contact; gets nervous/jittery when she feels forced to

✭ Soojin absolutely adores baking with Hwasa once a week; a little therapy thing they have going on; she opens up to Hwasa a lot easier when she’s being distracted with how much butter they need

✭ Soojin dyed her hair and her foster mom was so unimpressed but said; “it’s nice to see you expressing yourself”

✭ likes to roller skate and skates down to Mina’s house everyday to check up on Mina and Miss Im
