Wouldn't that be more like just getting the ETB from Cthulhu?
While you're not summoning the real Emrakul, say, you are very much creating a mana construct of Emrakul that is just as dangerous as the real thing.
Fact 1 - In MtG, Eldrazi are nigh-unkillable otherworldly titans capable of traveling between planes bent on perverting and destroying any plane they come into contact with.
Fact 2 - The meta narrative of MTG is that you, the player, are a planeswalker and all the creatures in your deck are actual representations of in-universe creatures you summon to do your bidding.
Conclusion - Every Eldrazi player is a fucking maniac who summons an unstoppable elder god to win a fist fight.

r/MagicTheCirclejerking just updated its icon to this

Because it's a color pie circlejerk, haha. But apparently, it's broken containment, and people outside of MtG shitposting keep sharing it.

Even people who know it depicts a circlejerk gloss over or are unaware of the WUBRG...

Aren't most wizards of the coast? They're blue, and blue is Islands.
If/When a card named "Wizard/s of the Coast"?
If. It's been used for design names. I'm not sure whether or not it counts as a vanity card.

Oh yeah, that was a thing.
It was one of the mechanics of all time, in fact.
Where is coven on the storm scale?
I’d call it a 7. It wasn’t all that popular.

I know I can pronounce it quickly, and I think I can spell it. I-T.
But I can also spell Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar.
It's a lot easier if you break it up. Asmorano mardica daistina culdacar.

Assuming it's "owe", Black won't let anyone own them, even a demon.
Black opinions on taking the last piece of pie:
You take it. You own me.
I own you?

In fact, as someone who is moderately black-aligned, there's something very black about something that just exists, that everyone has, but that is often associated with evil.
Black has been moving away from just being the "evil" color for a long time now and I was wondering, would you change the black mana symbol to anything else if you could?
No. A skull isn’t inherently evil. We all have one. : )

If you want that sort of thing, look at Unstable. Host/Augment is fairly similar.
Hecatomb (an early TCG by WotC) used cards that were partially transparent and could be placed on top of other cards to change some of their properties. Have you ever thought about using this technology in Magic?
No. That technology would be hard to splash in Magic.

Yes, but not to the extent some have been.
I want to raise the average power level in these sets rather than the peak.
I know this is a big ask, but...
Please no more direct to Modern sets.
If you guys must, at least make it so that it is Standard legal so it is Standard level in power.
Let's do a poll.

What we would have liked is 36 packs at the price point of a draft booster box.
Hey Mark. Been playing since I was a child. Grandfather taught me when I was 8 and regardless of controversy I will always be a magic player. People are having a negative reaction to the reduction of packs in your standard boxes. Personally I'm with what the change would mean for prize support and how 36 made it easier for 1 pack per win in an 8 player draft. Could you shed some light on what feedback was looked at from the players and how limited play was taken into account for your decision.
The core decider had nothing to do with limited play. Players, in our market research simply liked the price point of the set booster boxes with 30 packs more than the play booster boxes with 36 packs. Note the cost of the individual booster pack is staying the same.

We would prefer play boosters to cost draft booster money.
There seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding in some of the discourse around boosters and their price. Mark when people say they want the boxes to be cheaper, they meant they wanted the same amount of product for less money. Less product for proportionally less money isn't actually cheaper. It's just smaller
Everyone would always like the same thing for less money, but it’s not exactly how businesses function. : )
Here’s the feedback I was referring to specifically. We took set boosters, which were the most popular booster type, and made them draftable.
The cost of the boosters between set boosters and play boosters didn’t change, that is play boosters cost the exact same as set boosters.
The difference was instead of having thirty packs per box like set booster boxes, we had thirty-six booster packs per booster box like draft booster boxes.
That made the cost of the booster box go up, making it higher than either set booster boxes or draft booster boxes had been. Yes, you were getting more for the higher price, but it was still an overall higher price than previous booster boxes.
The feedback was players liked the set booster box price, so as of Aetherdraft, we are moving to that configuration. Again, this is the same price and quantity that set booster boxes were since their introduction.

What is this "heart" thing of which you speak?
And of course we do, it is why our laws actually work. Recipes are like laws for cooking.
Yes, I am aware of the rebellions from those three guilds, but we are dealing with them.
Azorius hate hour:
Azorius fuckers will refuse to cook without a recipe.

Presumably the Magic IP.
In the name of all the Magic fans, I came to tell you we miss it :)
I’m not sure what “it” is.

Doesn't blue already get that ability?
It's half of bounce.
Could any mono color get “Destroy target token permanent”? If so, which one?
In theory, white, assuming we don't have a lot of land tokens.
