Announcing Palimpsest: Labors of November

Last year, our love for Pentiment took shape in Palimpsest—a fanzine that celebrated the game’s storytelling, characters, art, and intricate history. Just as Palimpsest layered new voices atop Pentiment's foundations, this year we will add another chapter to our collective tribute: a fall-winter themed sequel. On November 15th, a new pentiment zine will arrive.

I’d want to make some changes before I take more photos (actually make a waist sack instead of just using my bag, figuring out a better way to tie the head covering, taking in the bodice more for lumpiness) but I crunched out a Magdalene Druckeryn cosplay to wear to the renaissance festival.

I’ve already been wanting to do this for a while because I can’t state enough how much this character means to me, but if I built it up too much in my head to make it perfect and hand sew it historically I worry that I wouldn’t actually ever -do- it (plus to be honest I can’t quite figure out the intentions of the undercut and off the shoulder bodice/kirtle/whatever it is meant to be constructed as without more references and probably a sentiment art book)

hiya! i wanted to ask how on earth father gernot won the abbacy in pentiment. it's mentioned several times that it was between him & ferenc and i'm so curious what made the brothers ultimately pick gernot, considering how many of them feel negatively about him by act 1. is there any monk election lore? :-)

I don't have any deep lore about what happened, but I will say that is extremely common for a person to be completely pleasant and reasonable until they are put in a leadership position, at which point they become the worst creature you've ever seen.

After seeing you post a picture of a Bonneville years back, I have been on the hunt and I would say it is my "dream car" if you had a dream vehicle (or bike) what would it be? Thanks for everything 🍻

I don't ride motorcycles anymore, but there a few I still think qualify as dream bikes.

The first is the pearl white 2007 Ducati Monster S4RS Testastretta. I think this is peak Monster aesthetics and with Termi exhausts it sounds wild.

The other would be a "toaster" mid-70s BMW R75/5. I briefly had a 1973 R60/5 and it needed electrical and mechanical help that was way beyond me. Gorgeous bike, though.

At this point my dream cars are station wagons. The green/brown 2019 Volkswagen Alltrack (manual) is probably my fave.

The less practical one would be a ~2003 BMW 540i Touring.

I went through the New Vegas OST recently for a D&D game I am running and saw the three tunes at the bottom of the tracklist had a J.E Sawyer as one of the artists. Are you a vocalist as well or were those for lyric writing? Thank you very much for your time!

Yes I had to sing on those tracks (and Nathaniel Chapman and James Melilli had to play guitar) because we ran out of time and that was the only option.
