The more I see people talk down to Palestinians like we’re children who can’t understand politics I just want to bash all of you over the head with that trolly you keep bringing up. Palestinians being genocided in both scenarios should make you angry at both parties and the Us government as a whole but instead you take it out on Palestinians?? And I’m supposed to believe you care about us?

While we spent the last week watching horrors unfold in Lebanon, Israeli newspapers are shamelessly publishing articles claiming parts of Lebanese territory. If you think their only aim is to fight “terrorism” you are a bloody fool.

My community organization has been working with a family in Gaza for the past 4 months, the Hamad family. Originally we were trying to fundraise to get them out of Gaza, but now that’s more or less impossible and we’re just trying to get them money to survive. Right now they’re looking for shelter after they were evicted from their last shelter, and they’re trying to buy food.

very strange to me how some people on this site regard violent resistance as an infrastructure-destroying solar flare. i don’t think any socialist outside the one they make up in their liberal mccarthyist fantasies conceptualizes “revolution” as a single mass destructive event that wipes out disabled people in its wake. i know that ableism is rampant in leftist spaces, but i think the best well-meaning organizers care about sustaining the most vulnerable people as they mobilize the struggle against imperialism.

one post i saw recently was made by a doctor who asked people to consider the sick children in hospitals who would die if medical supply chains in the global economy were hypothetically disrupted due to this alleged revolution. it was telling that their post (and ppl’s tags/reblogs) made no mention of the public health consequences of the US embargo on cuba nor the literal children dying and becoming disabled right now in gaza because a hypermilitarized imperial power is bombing their homeland and hospitals.

There is a Muslim revert on TikTok who is getting exposed for lying about their ethnic identity while also using their religious identity to speak over Palestinians who disagreed with them and I am honestly so sick and tired of seeing people get away with talking over Palestinians just because they happen to be Muslim.

There is a false notion that just because someone is Muslim they have some inherent knowledge about Palestine and are somehow adjacent to us even though Palestinians don't all share the same faith.

*It is erasure*. It's how we get to places where grifters like Shaun King and Khaled Beydoun are making money off of Palestinian suffering for their Eid events or taking credit for the decades of work Palestinians have done. It's how we get to replacing "Palestinians" with "Muslims" in media, how Muslim Zionists use their religion to support the genocide of Palestinians, or how Palestinians of other faiths get pushed to the side within their own movement.

I still remember back in 2021 seeing people who were Muslim using Palestinians being beaten and lynched in the streets to share their own Paypals and GFMs because it was "so painful for them to watch". Literally posts saying "If you're Muslim drop your payment info so we can support you better" in the face of Palestinian mass murder.

It's obvious that islamophobia plays a role in the demonization and killing of Palestinians but being Muslim doesn't make you entitled to a position over Palestinian voices and experiences, and it's completely ignorant to act like the root of this genocide is religion and not colonialism and imperialism. "as a Muslim-" doesn't matter when its Palestinians being murdered and bombed to death for being Palestinian.
