The best thing they did for Jinu in KPop Demon Hunters was let him act like prey. Apart from the "I made the hat for the tiger but the bird kept stealing it" bit his most winning moments are absolutely when he's fleeing in terror. They should have done more of that. Let the man scream a bunch. I do not believe he set up the mannequin as an ice breaker, he fully expected that Rumi would try to kill him and was taking a serious precaution, and he is absolutely trying not to piss himself in like half their interactions. The smooth talk and quips are pure bravado + an attempt to derail (literally using choo-choo trains to derail at one point lol).

Before he saw her markings she was like an inch away from killing him and he knew it and he was trying not to panic. Hunters are supernaturally strong and Rumi has even more juice courtesy of being half demon. Nightmare fuel for Mr. Self-Preservation.

babe, most fanfic writers write because

they love the characters

they are not normal about the characters

they are passionate about the characters

they are depressed and writing about the characters is their getaway

they are horny

canon compliance is only a hoice. but there’s no rule in fanfics. and most fanfic writers are sure as shit not trying to be respectful to the multi billion companies that made the characters, and if you actually believe they are, then maybe you’re just new to fandoms.

Some people suggest getting a different YouTube account for each language you study set to a different language in the settings because like idk if your language is set to English it’ll prioritize videos in English.

I don’t do that. I chaotically keep everything on one account set to English. And when it comes to Spanish yeah I kind of ended up having to brute force my way into eventually getting videos in Spanish recommended to me.

I just watched two or three videos in French though and now YouTube is like oh I see. Even though you spend 99% of your time watching videos in English or Spanish that doesn’t matter. You speak French now.

And overnight a third of my recommendations are in French. It’s like some kind of virus. I had to fight tooth and nail for this in Spanish but French? No it’s there even though I don’t want it to be.

You're not actually a better friend for not articulating and respecting your own needs, limits and boundaries. Your lack of communication and boundaries is not some impressive sacrifice. You're not doing anyone any favors by acting like you're okay with things you aren't okay with. You're just building burnout and resentment that will eventually damage the relationship in question. And when you eventually snap and walk away because you silently overburdened yourself to be a "good friend", it won't be the other persons fault

my advice to you is to never waste your time trying to fit into a club or hobby or any community who makes you beg for acceptance and approval just to participate when you could do the alternative—get involved in a niche and endangered hobby run primarily by old people.

i wanted to learn how to hunt ruffed grouse and train bird dogs so i sent an email to my local chapter of the ruffed grouse society explaining that getting into wildlife groups is intimidating to me because I’m trans

and all they saw was that someone under 60 wanted to learn to hunt grouse & several months into my mentorship I was told that like 7 old guys argued over me until they had to pick a number between 1 and 100 to decide who got to personally mentor me.
