Phacoemulsification with Trabecular micro-bypass stents in complex and moderate to advanced glaucoma: 3 year outcomes

Moussa et al. (2020) evaluated long term safety and efficacy of stent implants in combination with cataract surgery among glaucoma patients based on retrospective interventional case series and reported that trabecular micro-bypass stenting in combination with cataract surgery reduces intraocular pressure, lowers medication burden even among patients with advanced glaucoma rendering stabilized visual field.

Variability of the risk factors measurements and 5-year glaucoma risk estimation.

In order to aid in clinical decision, Lam et al. (2020) attempted to develop a risk calculator to predict a 5 year risk of primary open angle glaucoma by integrating all the risk factor variables into a quantifiable unit and reviewed the role of vertical cup-disc ratio on glaucoma risk calculation. The authors reported that VCDR variability substantially impact glaucoma risk assessment and emphasized on integration of other parameters  based on OCT measurement.

Dynamic Postural Control and Level of Functional Abilities with and without Ankle Foot Orthosis in Ambulatory Children with Cerebral Palsy: A Cross Sectional Study

Based on paediatric evaluation of disability index, Patel et al. (2019) investigated control and functional ability among ambulatory children with spastic cerebral palsy. The report revealed that children using DAFOs for more than a year displayed better control and functional abilities.
