The flag of chile also known as the lonely star, it's conformed by 2 strips, one white and one red, both unequal and white a blue square on the left superior part with a star in the middle. The star represents the guidance towards progress and honor and the blue represents the sky and ocean, the white stripe represents the snow covering the Andes and finally the red stands for the blood of those who fought for there country.

The capital is Santiago is in active city that has a lot a history that goes back to the XVI century; mixing class architecture  with big skyscrapers.

One interesting thing is that one of the biggest earthquakes happen in chile in 1960 at a 9.5 scale of richter, people me chile are really used to it and have adapted how to fill with it.

The country has over 500 active volcanos.

Actually there are 6 of the 10 biggest copper mines of the word in Chile.

argentina

the Argrentine flag has blue and white blue stripes, many historians will say that these colors represent loyalty to the House of Bourbon. in the center is the sun that many historians say that this emblem to the Inca god of the sun Inti Argentina is located in the southern part of the South American continent, bordering 5 other countries. It is divided into 23 separate provinces and the capital city is Buenos Aires. Argentina is one of the most diverse countries in terms of landscapes, in the north by Brazil and Paraguay you can find jungles and very humid areas, in the interior and midwest you can find flat pampas and farmland and hills. in the west by Chile you can find mountains with the highest point being Aconcagua, etc.

The flag of Brazil has green, yellow and blue; each color represents. in fact, green and yellow are inspired by the old imperial flag of Brazil, the blue disc and stars are part of each of the states it represents. to the back of the blue disc, there is a band with the country motto which means "order and progress".

 Brazil is the largest country in the South African continent. Brazil is divided into 27 federal units, of which 26 are states and one federal district. The Brazilian territory is crossed by two imaginary geographical lines: the equator, which passes through the mouth of the Amazon, and the Tropic of Capricorn, which crosses the city of São Paulo. The country occupies a vast area along the east coast of South America and covers much of the interior of the continent, sharing land borders with Uruguay to the south; Argentina and Paraguay to the southwest; Bolivia and Peru to the west; Colombia to the northwest and Venezuela, Suriname, Guyana and French Guiana to the north. 

In this way, it has a common border with all the countries of South America, with the exception of Ecuador and Chile . The Brazilian territory also includes a number of archipelagos, such as Fernando de Noronha, Atoll of the Rocks, San Pedro and San Pablo and Trinidad and Martín Vaz.1 The size, relief, climate and natural resources make Brazil a geographically diverse country.

COLOMBIA

Summary: in this video we talk a little about what there flag means and why they have those colors. Also we talk about famous places they have and their diversity.

This week we are going to talk about Colombia because is a very fascinating country that has a lot of culture and history. The Colombian flag has only three colors. Yellow that takes most part of the flag, blue and red; each color has a meaning. For example: yellow means- the gold found in Colombia, blue represents the shore and rivers also the sky, the red color stands for the blood for those that fight for the freedom.

Colombia has 40 islands and archipelagos al around the Caribbean and pacific costs. Some of the famous archipelagos are: Rosario, san Andres, san Andres Catalina, san Fernando.

Colombia is a megadiverse country and is the second most diverse after brazil. The 10% of diversity can be found here. This country is the biggest producer of emerald providing about 75% and 90% to the global market.

The country has about 50 million people and is the third most populous in Latin America after Mexico and brazil.

Colombia is a very beautiful country because it has a lot of diversity that you can appreciate, put it is also very dramatic because of the big cartels of drugs that are there. Colombia is a very awesome place to visit to learn more about their culture.
