Alexa rounded the corner of the hallway, grinning when she saw a somewhat familiar face. “So like… what are the chances you think I can sneak away from rehearsal long enough to see the glasgow cathedral.” She asked, still grinning hopefully. She scrunched her nose for a moment before teasing. “Do you think they’d notice if I just stuck a cardboard cutout in my place?”

Brows furrowing, Jess could only watch as her messages continued to blow up on every platform. Stellar FM had just experienced a security breach -- nothing major related to the artists under her watch, thankfully -- but Jess did have to give a very stern talk to the crew members and security personnel who have been letting fans into their hotel rooms. “I should hope so.” Burying her phone in her purse, she looked up, returning the blonde’s smile, albeit hers was a bit less genuine. “I just told security they’ll be in very big trouble if someone enters, or in this case, leaves without authorization.” It was a shame, too -- Scotland had so many sights to see, and yet they were all busy. “But,” she nodded, “you’re welcome to go and check if they’ve stepped up security measures.”

honestly gets her inspo for PR stunts from shows like scandal, how to get away with murder (ya girl is a shondaland hoe) 

stirs shit up on purpose so she knows what breaks people so outbursts in public could be avoided

will get close to people on purpose so she could find out about their dirty little secrets

acts nice to people she hasn’t gotten to know yet

likes to be in complete control of whatever she’s been put in charge of.  she takes her job very seriously so she prefers it if external forces could be suppressed 

initiates mock media interviews with the artists to make sure they can handle themselves during the actual thing

coming from a family of lawyers based in australia, she was groomed at a young age to follow in their footsteps and become a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom. she was a model student and daughter, and strived to do her best at everything that she did. 

at a certain point, it became too tiring for her, so one couldn’t really blame her if she wanted to let loose once in awhile. on her first year of law school, she had one too many bottles of alcohol and accidentally caused a fire, setting the library ablaze. of course, she was expelled, but more than that, she was disowned by her family as well. 

a professor who recognized her ability didn’t believe she was a lost cause, and referred her to work at a PR firm. with no life path to follow, jess took a chance. working at a PR firm was almost like taking on a case -- all she had to do was make sure the client came out on top. and boy, was she damn good at it. after taking on small clients at the PR firm, she was eventually given a bigger responsibility by taking over stellar’s clients.

jess had always been determined. but after getting expelled from law school and being disowned, this only amplified her drive to come back stronger, and become successful even without her family’s help. she loves being around people, and is slowly becoming popular in the industry. but of course, she has ulterior motives for being so sociable -- it’s so she could get close to people.  lying had always come naturally to her. it was a blessing in the world of PR because she could easily bend the truth to favor her clients.  it was dangerous to get close to people, platonically and romantically. opening up way too much could cause problems and come in the way of her goals.
