Act One Banter all in good fun! Ava Lovelocke isn't the type to focus on romance on purpose (wink wink) during their illithid adventure. Besides! He's a vampire, she's the daughter of the god of murder— it wouldn't work. Not that she's his type anyways.

Looking at astarions act one flirtations, I don't really think he's attracted to many of the party members EXCEPT maybe Wyll...also in hindsight I realize he would probably be more subtle than this but OH WELL. I spent way too gosh diddly darn time on this and learned so much. For example FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IF YOURE NOT PRINTING MAKE SURE YOUR CANVAS IS IN SRGB AND NOT CYMK

i think it’s all cool n fun to imagine her embrace run being nothing but merciless and violent—and it definitely is good god the myconids survived only by her forgetting about them—but it’s always Infinitely more fun to make them a little tortured about it

it feels good to indulge in the urges; power suits her. but there’s this niggling little feeling in the back of her head that suggests that this wasn’t all she was destined for. she could have been kind; could have saved her kin instead of dooming them. could have believed the tiefling down by the river instead of taking her head. could have looked zevlor in the eyes when she drove the knife into his back. could have done a lot of good things

the monastery makes her think of things that could have been. had she been destined for the light rather than the dark, could she have been better? would she have been more satisfied then, saving people, rather than basking in the power that comes with fear? perhaps, in another time, she was a better person. not much better by any means, but more merciful. more kind in a strange roundabout way

it’s enough to make her think. ruminate. doubt occasionally that she truly enjoys what she does. not that there’s much time to linger on it, mind you; the tadpole needs out, and by the looks of things, she’s going to need all the power she can get
