Well folks, it is time for me to retire from this blog.
I have documented these so that you may believe that I am the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in my name

Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James discover the tomb empty, and the stone rolled away. Two men in shining garments say that Jesus has risen. The women tell the apostles and are not believed. Peter visits the tomb personally, and marvels. I join two disciples on the way to Emmaus, but they do not recognize me until I break the bread. I then appear to the eleven disciples.
My suffering was necessary, to fulfill the prophecy and to prove that I was the Messiah!
“He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24‬:‭46‬-‭47‬ ‭NIV‬‬

It is finished.
Everything I have done and prior led to this moment. My death and resurrection.
At the Last Supper, I predicted that Peter will deny me three times. After, I went to pray at the Mount of Olives, asking for strength and guidance. Then I went to rouse the sleeping disciples and instructed them to pray. Judas betrays me with a kiss, that leads me to my arrest. One of the disciples cuts off the right ear of the servant of the high priest. I heal the ear and submit to the arrest. Peter denies me three times before the cock crows, and I am blindfolded, beaten, and mocked.
Before the Sanhedrin, I confirm that I am the Son of God.
I appear before Pilate, then Herod, then Pilate again. The crowd insists that I should be crucified, and Barabbas is released. Pilate is reluctant but gives in to the people. The Cyrenian Simon bears the cross. I am crucified between two criminals. I tell my Father to forgive them, for they know now what they do. A criminal on the cross finds salvation.
Onlookers mock me, for an inscription reading ‘This is the King of the Jews’ is written above me.
There is darkness across the earth when my death occurs, and the veil of the temple is torn in two. I am buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea.

Hello fellow bloggers,
I have established the Eucharist.
Tumblr media
“and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11‬:‭24‬-‭26‬ ‭NIV‬‬
‘Twas the night before I suffered on the cross, I decided to share one last meal with my disciples. During this meal, I instituted the sacrament of my Body and Blood.
I did this in order to perpetuate the sacrifice of the Cross throughout the ages and to entrust to the Church a memorial of my death and resurrection.
The transformed bread and wine are truly the Body and Blood of Christ and are not merely symbols. When I said “This is my body” and “This is my blood,” the bread and wine were transubstantiated (convert).
Though the bread and wine appear the same to human capabilities, they are actually the real body and blood of Jesus (me.)

Miracles, miracles, miracles….why?
The miracles I performed were signs to testify that I was the Messiah, the Way.
I used my power to heal, comfort, and encourage, rather than smite, dominate, and humiliate.
The miracles were to serve a dual purpose: to call my followers to fear me but also to trust me—to trust that I am good.
Many were in awe by the miracles; however, I knew that this “wow-factor” was not enough to encourage long-term, obedient faith. When the wonders ceased, I understood that the crowds would turn elsewhere for their entertainment.
So rather than impressing the crowds, I requested silence of those that were healed. So then I used the occasion of a miracle to teach my closest followers about my vocation as the Savior who would suffer, die, and rise again.
And although the signs convinced many, there were still some who doubted.

Over the past few months I have been using parables to teach others about the Glory of God.
One might ask, why not just directly share the message? Why not skip all the hidden meanings and fancy metaphors and just get straight to it.
Well to put it simply — where’s the fun in that?
Tumblr media
The parables are a teaching tool to help my disciples understand what I had to say to them.
The truth is not music to all ears. Literally, there are those who have neither interest in nor regard for the Word of God.
To those with a genuine hunger for God, the parable is both an effective and memorable device for the portrayal of the truth. I made sure the parables contained great volumes of truth in very few words, and were very rich in imagery, so they could not be easily forgotten. So, then, the parable is a blessing to those with willing ears. But to those with dull hearts and ears that are slow to hear, the parable is also an instrument of both judgment and mercy.
I wanted to communicate my message in a way that would extend the invitation into God’s kingdom across cultures, eras, generations, and languages for centuries. This allows anyone who wants to be a true “hearer” to understand and enter God’s kingdom, no matter their language or culture.

Hey blog! It’s been a while hasn’t it.
Here’s a quick summary:
Grew up, got Baptized, had a run in with the devil in the wilderness, did a couple of teachings, met some best buds (aka the disciples,) and now here we are… more than 10 years later!
Tumblr media
Candid ;)
My disciples and I were invited to a wedding in Cana, Galilee.
Picture this: The guests are seated at the table, but there is no more wine.
Tumblr media
Yep. No. more Wine. A shame in a culture of hospitality.
So this is how I know it is time. Time for me to perform my first miracle. I instruct the master of ceremonies to fill the water jars to the brim with water. The water turns into wine. Expected of course.
Tumblr media
I would be quite the Gatsby at parties. A great one in fact — if I turned ever drop of water to wine, but of course that is not what I was brought onto this Earth to do.
I can not wait to bring more people to God and spread the Good News. I truly believe that everyday that I stand on this earth, more will see that I am the Way. The Messiah.

“And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.”

Teenage Jesus here :)
So I did something bad.... Kind of ;)
Every year my parents went to Jerusalem for the Festival of the Passover. And at twelve years old, I was able to come too! I decided to take this opportunity to spend time in my Father’s house. I was so absorbed in listening to the teachers and asking them questions. My parents eventually found me in the temple courts, but they seemed worried.
I know it must have been difficult for my parents to understand. But this is what I was born to do. Literally.
Of course now I need to mature and grow before I will be ready to begin my ministry in the full sense.
I can't wait.

Well well well... we have some VISITORS!!!
Tumblr media
Yep. That's right. Shepherds :0
An angel appeared to shepherds who were watching their flocks in the fields near Bethlehem. The angel told them the good news of the birth of the Savior and Messiah, Jesus Christ. (Yes. That's me. The Messiah.) The shepherds immediately went to find baby Jesus, which the angels told them they would find sleeping in the manger.
And then in comes...
Tumblr media
The Wise Men!
After some time, wise men, also known as magi, saw the brilliant star in the sky that rested over where I was born. The three wise men traveled from a distant eastern country to find the new king. During the wise men's trip, Herod, the king of Judah, met with the wise men. Herod told them to come back and let him know where the baby king was so that he could also worship him. The wise men continued to Bethlehem and found Jesus where the star pointed. They knelt and worshipped the Savior (me) and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. They then traveled back home a different way, knowing that King Herod did not intend to worship Jesus but planned to kill the baby.
Here is a little picture I drew in my manger of the angels talking to the shepherds:

Hello World!
Tumblr media
Jesus here ;)
Lets go through a run down of how I ended up here:
The angel Gabriel appears to Mary in Bethlehem ( my mother) and announces that she will conceive a child, and he will be named Jesus (me!). This baby boy will be the son of God. (yes. I am the son of God) Mary is shocked by this news because she is a virgin, but sure enough she finds herself pregnant shortly after this. She rejoices!!
Tumblr media
But unfortunately, Caesar Augusts decrees that the whole Roman should be taxed. This means that everyone has to return to the place of their birth, so Joseph (my dad) and Mary have to return to Judea and and Bethlehem. (spoiler alert: where I was born)
Tumblr media
While in Bethlehem, Mary gives birth to Jesus (me again), and wraps him in swaddling clothes and lays him in a manger. There was no room for us in the inn. So of course we stay in the stable.
Here is a little picture of the fam. Festive style
