La Repasseuse
Hello I'm back with a lingerie set this time ! It includes corsets, a corset cover and some drawers. Althought the painting that inspired me this time is older than usual, the cc I ended up making is fit for the 1870s, 1880s, 1890s & 1900s. More pics and download below
This set was mainly inspired by the Edgar Degas's painting : La Repasseuse (The Laundress/Ironer).

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”
In the 19th and 20th corsets were used to achieve the fashionable shape of the times, provide bust support, maintain good posture and distribute the weight of the skirt's and petticoat's yards of fabric. Althought corsets were underwear judging from the paintings I've seen (cf reference pictures below) working women would sometimes take off their bodices when it was getting too hot (ironers, laundresses as well as peasants during harvest). I've kept these plain corsets pretty simple only featuring the boning channels (where the whale bones or steel bones would go) and a bit of cording under the bust, as I've seen on most corsets of that period.
I've made 2 versions :
is meant to be worn on top of clothing (presumably underwear but you do you) and as such are compatible with my skirts and split drawers
is meant to be worn under clothing (petticoat or skirt)

These are the same corset but with some lace at the top, a very common style but probably more expensive than the plainer ones.
These corsets too exist in 2 versions (V1 to wear over clothing and V2 to wear under).

These corsets are the same as the lace ones with added embroidery.
This type of embroidery is called flossing it's decorative but also practical : the flossing reduces the corset bones’ movements to improve the comfort of the wearer. These corsets too exist in 2 versions (V1 to wear over clothing and V2 to wear under).

As the name implies corset cover were worn on top of corsets. Their purposes were to smooth over the corset lines (the equivalent of today's pantylines), to hide the corset's color (for it to not show under a lighter bodice), to absorb sweat so as to protect the bodice and finally especially in the edwardian era to act as padding to achieve the fashionable pigeon breast look.
That being said it seems not everyone wore corset covers from what I've seen.
Like corsets, corset cover too were sometimes used as workwear by women working in hot environnements (ironers, laundresses as well as peasants during harvest).
This corset cover includes 3 styles (pictured below) with different degrees of "laceyness". I tried my best to make it work for both 1880s and Edwardian fashion, in the end I think it's leaning more toward the later.

For most of the 19th century and even the beginning of the 20th century, women drawers were open : they were composed of 2 legs that would be buttoned or tied together at the waist and that would overlap in the crotch but could be split appart when necessary.
I've made 2 versions of these, since I've seen both :
is tighter under the knee giving that poofy "bloomer" like shape
is straight legged

Top hat on preview is from the Vampires pack.
Frock coats. V1 is kind of new, V2 is made from my 1830s tailcoat because it was just asking for it and I think it ended up nice. Also I separated boots from Get Famous VestVictorian outfit for them to work with the frock coats meshes. I was sure I've seen these boots already separated, but me and google… we just couldn't find common ground. And I'm deeply sorry for the mess I'm creating with all these overlays. V2 works with tie and buttons overlay from my tailcoat (you can see it on the preview) V1, V2 have pants overlay in Tights category (completely unnecessary but I love to have a choice so I want to give it to others) V1 has tie overlay in Necklaces.

Kaisa - an 1870s dress in two versions
Tumblr media Tumblr media
December is the perfect time to post this gown! It's another 1870s dress, this time a nice and warm one for snowy days. Is it pretty? Yes. Is it practical? Absolutely not. Will the train be covered in filthy snow within minutes of leaving the house? Probably. But at least you'll look nice.

Katja - a Victorian day dress
Tumblr media
Another Victorian dress, by popular demand (not a single soul has asked for this). It comes in four versions: An ankle-length version for adults or older teens, a short version for younger teens, and conversions for both children and toddlers.
It's somewhat based on a dress from 1867, but it ended up looking weirdly 1870s or even 1880s. It bugged me at first, but I've embraced it now. So, in terms of usability ranges: really anytime between 1867 and 1890. Go wild, go crazy! You can use it for whatever era you'd like.

Thomas - an 1860s child's outfit (with matching pantalettes)
Tumblr media
And another toddler dress! This one could work for most of the 1860s (1859-1868 or so). I had planned to take a short break from CC making to focus on my studies, but I guess I got a bit sidetracked by this adorable fashion plate. I'm pretty sure the child in that image is a boy (their hair is parted to the side as opposed to in the middle) but I could definitely be wrong.
Either way, I KNOW that the Thomas dress is intended for boys, since the buttons are on the right side and not the left side. But then again, this is the Sims and I don't think anyone cares about gendered button placement. So it's unisex. A little girl could wear this for sure. And if you DO care about the buttons, well, maybe that little girl has an older brother and it's a hand-me-down?
Note that since the pantalettes were designed to be compatible with this dress and this dress only, I can't guarantee that they'll work with any other dresses. Actually, I've only found ONE other compatible dress, and it's this one right here. I can confirm it looks incredibly cute with (and without) pantalettes.

Mira - mid-Victorian toddler dress
Tumblr media
Hi y'all! Been a while. I made this dress as an easy and simple project after several messed up wips that I had to give up on. It's a unisex 1850s toddler dress designed to match the pantalettes from my Thomas set. This does mean that all the swatches are quite masculine, since the Thomas pantalettes were specifically designed for boys. I considered adding some more feminine recolors to this new dress and to the Thomas pantalettes, but that'll have to wait until another day. I'm a bit busy with life and such. Would you believe me if I said the biggest factor that delayed my release of this dress was naming it? I just could not think of anything. I had to resort to a random name generator. Mira it is.

Hobbledehoy 1910s Dress
Tumblr media
Good news! Now your fashionable early 1910s Sims can wear the ridiculously tight dress of their dreams!
Just a few little notes. First off, I considered adding a version with a peplum but never did. Might still do it in the future but we'll see.
This dress was absolutely evil and took me ages to finish because the weights and such kept getting messed up. That may be my fault for attempting to make such a tight skirt. It made me want to kill someone, but I have another WIP that makes me want to kill several someones, so the Hobbledehoy is pretty tame by comparison.
The weights still aren't perfect, especially around the ankles, but I did the best I could and I think they're acceptable. Obviously it's gonna distort if your Sim moves their legs too much, just like a real hobble skirt would probably rip if you moved your legs too much. It's also incompatible with some bulkier shoes, since they just clip through the skirt. And as always with things that use transparency, the lace on the oversleeves won't look right if your graphic settings are low.
The name Hobbledehoy started off as a joke, but I never ended up renaming the file, so it's called Hobbledehoy now. That's a real, existing word, but it has nothing to do with the Edwardian trend of ridiculously tight skirts called hobble skirts. A hobbledehoy is, according to Wiktionary, "an awkward adolescent youth".

Kati - an 1870s winter dress
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You might think July is a terrible time to make another winter dress. You might be right. But it also snowed two months ago so I think it's fair game still. Yay for Nordic weather.
There's not all that much to say about this dress. It's continuing the Catherine diminutive theme. The skirt is just below ankle-length to keep it from dragging in the snow. Could probably go ice skating in it. The bustle shape is a bit less prominent than in my other bustle dresses, because I was going for more of a mid-1870s look. It's definitely still very bustle-y. And very fluffy and warm. And bulky.
Preview screenshots were taken BEFORE I playtested it and did some final weight adjustments, so if you see something weird in the previews, don't worry about it.

I don't even know what to say here. It's nightgowns. I named them "semihistorical" because that was the idea - period dramas from 80-s/90-s where the main focus in ladies costumes is their decollete. I watched weird movies when I was a kid. Don't mind me. Meshes are the same apart from sleeves.

An cute little 1870s-style walking suit, named after Elisabeth JΓ€rnefelt. I was going to name it Elisabeth, but since there are about a million pieces of historical cc with that name (or some variation), I decided against it. JΓ€rnefelt is a cute name, I think.

The skirt on the toddler conversion can look a bit weird when the knees are bent. It's an unfortunate side effect of the dress being knee-length. In case it really bugs you, I made a V2 which is just above knee-length to minimize clipping.

Vintage Menswear Summer
I've noticed a lack of options when it comes to summer menswear for the 1930s-40s, and I have a bunch of new characters coming up, so something had to be done. It kind of went out of hand I ended up making this huge set of recolours. Some of the items work for anywhere from the 1920s to the 1950s, maybe even later, so it can be useful for other generations, too. The tops and bottoms don't always work with each other, but I made sure there's always at least one for each that does.

Farm Animal Set + Free-Range
Hi everybody!
I know a lot of you asked for a possiblity to play with my animals with the Free-Range CC from Lot51CC.
I finally made it. I know it took me ages.. I am really sorry for that. Lot51 already told me how to make it possible but I didn't had the energy to include them.
TwoΒ important infos for this CC!
You can't use my original CC for it. If you want to include the animals to your free-range farm you can only use this pack. Please delete the other CC from me. Expect the horses. They are not included. I had some issues with them but I think since the Horse Pack is released we don't need them anymore.
Don't purchase the animals to the animal shed. They will stuck in there. You have to delete the objects to free them. they will drop into your inventory. But you can place them again at the lot again after that.
I also included the duck and the goose.
You can now drop the animals directly from the build/buy mode. You can find them in the pet catergory. Just put them at your lot in there area where you want them. They will find there way by themself. Also the ducks and goose are now in the build/buy catalog.
