Cette nuit j'ai pas arrêté de me réveiller pour aller faire pipi. (Mais des pipis normaux, pas les petits pipis de quand t'as froid) et là j'ai repensé à mon médecin qui me pause tjrs la question de si je me réveille plusieurs fois pour aller aux toilettes et si je ronfle (rapport à l'apnée du sommeil). Autant vous dire que j'ai encore plus mal dormi que d'habitude (aka mal depuis plus de 6 mois)

Ce matin, mon mec m'a réveillé à 8h30 (il commençait à 9h) car mon cadeau d'anniversaire devait être livré entre 10h10 et 11h10.

Je me suis dit que j'avais le temps donc j'ai remis mes alarmes pour 9h50/10h (d'habitude je les met à 10h20 -10h30). J'essaye de me rendormir mais je ne fais QUE des débuts de paralysie du sommeil, de plus avec hallucinations auditives (ce qui est rare, j'ai que la partie paralysie d'habitude).

Je sors finalement du lit à 9h30, j'ai mal à la gorge. Et je prend mon petit dej leeeentemeent pour qu'au final, je reçoive un SMS de mon compagnon qui me dit "j'ai reçu un message, ils l'ont mis dans un locker".

Donc résultat, je suis fatiguée et m'en vais faire une sieste.

Until I was in....college? At least? The vast, vast majority of the books I read were either a) assigned by my school or b) (the vast majority of my reading) provided to me by my mother.

My mom is a librarian. She filled our rooms with books, picked especially for us. She pointed out books on the shelves in our home library (separate from our bedroom shelves) that she thought we would like. She bought us books for birthdays, Christmas, and just stacks of recommendations. She once paid me $10 to read one of the Cirque Du Freak books because she said I needed "to be exposed to bad literature."

She respected my privacy in room, didn't go through my belongings. She explicitly pointed out to us that she wouldn't know if we took a particular book of the shelf, as long as we returned it, if we didn't want her to know we were reading it. She purposely brought us books that she didn't care for herself, because she thought we might find them valuable or enjoyable.

And if we wanted to read something she thought might upset or disturb us, she would explain why. She wouldn't stop us from reading it - just ask us to check in with her, to talk through it.

And so when I read something that upset or disturbed me, I would go to her. She would listen and talk through it with me.

If she said she didn't think I would like something, or that a book might disturb me, or that she thought I should wait until I was older, I listened to her.

She didn't need restrictions or control to protect me. Because she proved I could trust her.

Controlling kids is never about "protecting" them. It's just about control.

Avec l'argent que j'ai reçu pour mon anniversaire, j'ai investi dans un disque dur SSD 1To car j'ai que 256go (on m'a bcp menti sur le PC qu'on m'a vendu, mais c'est une autre histoire). Je le récupère samedi aprem en magasin. De plus, je pense acheter un câble spécifique de raccordement (parce que j'ai AUCUNE PRISE VGA SUR CE PC ??? 2 displayport, 1 hdmi que j'aimerai garder pour la switch et une pour un câble qui n'est plus commercialisé ????)

Bref, hâte de pouvoir utiliser mon 2nd écran. Et quand j'aurais un revenu plus régulier ou un job OK Tier, j'investis dans un genre de steam deck et un IPhone reconditionné pour mon tracking 3D et une meilleure qualité d'image pour filmer mes dessins.

Comme tous les mois, je demande des nouvelles de mon dossier mdph. J'ai envoyé un mail ce midi.

"Les délais de traitement actuels sont d'environs 4 à 6 mois".

Mon dossier a été déposé il y a 5 mois et 3 jours.

Aux 6 mois pile, je les harcele toutes les semaines voir tous les jours >:((

J'avais noté les taches à faire en priorité. Au final, j'ai posté ma dernière illustration, rangé ma page Ko-Fi, et surtout mis à jour mon site de commissions !

Je pense que pour les commissions je passerais uniquement par carrd et mail. Et Ko-Fi ce sera pour vendre des créations faites mains et des prints.

Apparently there’s a “kids shouldn’t be allowed in grocery stores” thing being spread on TikTok because they might scream or run around and look yeah that’s annoying but at a certain point you’ve gotta just put up with kids being a little annoying in public. Sure the kid pouring milk in the isles is the fault of a shitty parent and should be asked to leave, but a single mom with an otherwise controlled by crying toddler isn’t doing anything wrong. I think you’ll live if someone’s two year old starts screaming in their arms in isle 3. It might be annoying but that mom is probably having a worse day than you

the only reliable, effective way of "protecting children" is education. but people don't want to hear that because they don't actually care about protecting children, they care about protecting a mythologised ideal of innocence
