W16: Process Book Test Prints (09/05/23)
I did some final full size test prints of my process book with my grids and guides on. I am happy with the grids so i'm not going to change anything.

W16: Final Reflection (08/05/23)
It feels a bit weird to be writing this since its the last uni project that i'll do.
I am pretty happy with my outcome, Its changed so much from the first draft to the final version. I think that I took the idea as far as I could with the time that I gave myself. It definitely took me a bit too long to get my idea together but once I did, I know that I worked very very hard.
I think that the project really changed from being about psychology to being about me developing my understanding and use of type. I think I did this fairly well, through lots of practice, using the library resources and contemporary research.
I think talking to others really helped, I got a lot of support from Joseph and Briony towards then end of the project.
I think that the final outcome could have been more exciting and I will try and make it so before the grad show. I still think that I took it as far as I could with the time that I had.
The main things that I've learnt are: don't be afraid to ask for help, read more books, if something feels wrong then try other options, sometimes the best solution is obvious.
I'm still not completely sure if I want to be a designer, I think I could be if I put my mind too it and work hard enough. I'll just have to see how things pan out and if i'm not fed up of it after sorting things for the grad show.
I think that considering the circumstances, (our first two year's being through COVID-19 and struggling with anxiety for most of the course) I will eventually be proud of myself for what I've achieved on this course and how much I've pushed myself.

W16: Process Book Test Prints (08/05/23)
I changed my process book size a final time
I had to test print it from home where I could only use an A4 printer
I printed the pages with grids and guides as pages and then lay them next to each other
I think that this grid works fine and i'm happy with it.

W15: Binding Process (04/05/23)
I binded my book with Joseph. I ended up having to perfect bind it since there was too many pages to do anything else. I was fine with this, binding is not one of my strong suits.

W15: Front Cover Choice (04/05/23)
While I was working with Joseph on my binding process I had to finalise my cover. I knew that I wanted to use the main mugshot image, but the quality was so bad that Briony told me to try it with a border to maintain some image quality.
While I was going through the issue with Joseph he suggested trying some effect on Photoshop. I played around with it and decided that I wanted to use a half tone effect. It fixed the poor image quality and maintained the ominousness of the case.
I did a test print before putting it on my book to see if it was okay and it was. I'd have liked to have more time to think about the cover but I don't think that it would be all that different from this.
