Nirvana in Fire is so great. One of the things I love about it is how it grows, almost - it's a commitment, but one that rewards you ten times over.

Favourite things:

FEI LIU. MY SON. MY CHILD. I adore Fei Liu, I absolutely think of him as autistic, and as ever, unintentional autism representation always seems better than the intentional. XD I love that h's always included, the way that Mei Changsu looks after him, his relationship with Meng Dage - all so good.

Gao Zhan! Gao Zhan is such a mensch. Best eunuch ever.

I love the women, and how they are all different and strongly written in different ways. I love how smart Consort Jing is, especially!

I love some of the really heartbreaking moments, especially when they are quite subtle ones.
