LATE NIGHT PRACTICE - *

With heavy breaths, jihye plopped down on the hard wooden floor in the practice room. She had just went live on Instagram, dancing freestyle for her viewers just for fun. Reaching for a bottle of water, she turned towards the door when she heard it clicked. “Oh hello! Were you practicing too?” Greeting the other, she flashed a soft smile before taking a sip of water.

           Kai couldn’t seem to catch a break tonight, with the added pressure of Empire’s comeback in September he’d been putting in extra hours, and as his group’s main vocalist and a member of his group’s danceline that meant he tended to be front and centre in a lot of their performances. Which was great in its own respect, but it also meant if he messed up everyone would notice, and with an acute fear of failure that just wasn’t an option for him. He hadn’t been excepting the room to be occupied when he opened the door and he just gave a sheepish smile. “Ah, yes, sorry I didn’t realize this room was taken. The lights in my usual practice room blew a fuse so it’s pitch black in there. The schedule said this one was open, but I think you noticed that as well.” He mused with a friendly laugh. 

When she heard the other’s words, jihye immediately pulled the bottle away from her lips and hurriedly gulped the remaining water in her mouth. “Ah right right! Actually, I didn’t plan on staying but i just had the extra energy and inspiration to come up with a choreography. I thought I’d be done pretty soon but I stayed longer than expected and forgot to book the room. I’m sorry.” She bowed softly toward the male. “I’m actually done so you can use the room.” Wearing a soft smile on her features, she gathered her belongings and got ready to leave.

           Angel had made a job out of trying to figure out every little crook and cranny of the Galaxy building over the last few years, she wanted to know all the secrets it had to offer to use them to their advantage; but with it being a rather massive highrise, that wasn’t an a short task. Being particularly shameless they’d walked into countless occupied rooms, and tonight was no exception of that. Their gaze flickered to the girl at the question, and they just shrugged. “Not exactly.” They hummed glancing around the room. “I don’t dance outside of my scheduled sessions, it’s far too much effort.” 

As the other listened to the words of the fellow idol, Jihye continued sipping on the cool beverage. Her heavy breaths slowly returning to a normal pace. “So, what are you doing here so late?” She asked casually. Jihye then turned her heels and made her way to the computer to switch off the song that was still on playing on loop. “I was just making up some random choreography and filming it through insta live.” She spoke once again as she made her way to where the other is.
