I think there’s something really telling in the fact that people almost always refuse to post jikook content on non jikook blogs, even if they consider themselves ot7 accounts. Even jk accounts were posting all pairings except for jikook. I think it begs the question that if there’s nothing between them and it’s all some brotherly or fanservicey interactions, why be so hesitant or unwilling to post it? Like no one had a problem posting vmin, who were wilding during season’s greetings too but they bypass jikook? It’s just funny that Tae almost flirtatiously telling Jimin he likes him is fine and cute but everything jikook did wasn’t worth posting about. It honestly took hours and Peaches finally posting on Twitter for their content to start rolling around.

Jikook are that elephant in the room.

Jikook's "Black Swan" (2020 MMA)

Jikook's magical "Black Swan" performance at the 2020 MMA stage drew so much from BTS' solo stages at the 2019 MMA.

Jungkook's water-bending "Save Me" and Jimin's air-bending "I Need U" solos from 2019 were melded to create the inevitable and powerful climax that was their "Black Swan" interlude -- performances one year apart, and a lifetime in the making.

It was a performance that showed Jimin's elegance and Jungkook's strength as dancers, and the absolute chemistry they have as artistic partners. Beyond Jikook, it was a performance that further elevated BTS from the ranks of mere idols to bona-fide artists.
