The Irishman's depiction of Jimmy Hoffa's death: A quiet, eerie scene where Hoffa is shot in the back after realizing he's been set up.
The 1992 Hoffa movie's depiction of Jimmy Hoffa's death: Danny Devito sees Hoffa's assassin and goes into an epic slow-mo sequence where he tries to save Hoffa from getting shot. The assassin then turns around, sees that Danny Devito is running at him in a straight line, and shoots him dead.

“To say that I do not feel deeply about the charges that have been made against me would be untrue. To say that it has not been tough would be untrue.
I am a family man. I have a wife and children. I am proud of my family and they are proud of me. They know how I believe in the cause of labor. They know this is my life work and I am not ashamed to face them with anything I have done.”
- Jimmy Hoffa, Teamsters Convention, 1957

“He used to call me at 3 a.m. I’d listen to him and I couldn’t figure out why he was calling. I think he just wanted to let me know he was on the job, out in the street, at that hour. Of course, I didn’t know what he was talking about at that hour. I’d listen to him and still wouldn’t know. I seldom knew what Frank was talking about much after 10.”
