And then that thing they’re not supposed to do cascades into a whole range of other things that aren’t supposed to happen, and so on and so forth, until eventually a new timeline branches. It could be any apocalypse. If everything and everyone around you is destined for imminent destruction, then nothing that I say or do will matter. Because the timeline’s not going to branch. Because it gets destroyed. Hence, the variant could be hiding in the apocalypse and do whatever he wants and we wouldn’t know!’

I was just wondering: what first drew you to Star Wars and the Reylo fandom? Was there a particular character or theme that you connected to? I'm genuinely curious as to how fiction can impact reality and thought I'd ask. Hope you're doing well, and that this question can take your mind off of the craziness 2020 has been for a moment. I grew up with the original and prequel trilogies and enjoyed them, but seeing TFA in theaters sparked a fandom obsession that I had not experienced in a long time. I started writing Galaxy Under Siege with the full intention of exploring Rey’s character, and at some point during that writing realized what a DYNAMIC pairing Reylo could be, and, well, the ship sailed and never came back. 

I’m so touched you wanted to ask this!
