One of my favorite facts about where I live in Colorado is that it is considered a high-altitude desert. This means that the days are really hot and the nights are chilly. If you’re planning to spend anytime in the backcountry at night, you better be able to start a fire! . . A fire is guaranteed to get you warm and light up your surroundings. However, I think what makes a campfire so special is the camaraderie you feel when huddled around it. It’s a place where you can share secrets, songs, and smiles! #ad Another day - another adventure! We headed up into the Rocky Mountains on this beautiful Colorado summer day. The Rockies at this time of year always take my breathe away. Seeing these never-ending peaks and valleys every single day will never get old for me! . . This trip was especially awesome because I got to spend some quality time with my friend @sunshineofraerae! Hanging out with, having conversations with, and sharing a meal with good friends is what life is all about. . . My favorite snack to bring on any adventure is a sandwich! I think it brings me back to the lunches my Mom would pack for me as a kid. Nowadays, I couldn’t imagine an adventure without a delicious sandwich or a gorgeous view! There are like a million a different sandwich combinations and @subway always seems to have the ones I want. . . The sandwiches we were munching down here are the all-new Ciabatta Collection! Wow what an adventure! Last month Simon and I ventured down to Durango Colorado with @gorving and @matadornetwork to experience some wild moments - mountain biking, canyoneering, whitewater rafting and of course driving around in our van by @gorving — haha #vanlife . . This was my first time traveling in a van RV and it felt like a home on wheels — equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, dining area and bed! Talk about best views to wake up ever! . . To top it off I got to enjoy these life moments with my best friend Simon. Simon has gotta be one of my favorite beings to travel with - mostly because he doesn’t talk back. Well that’s it you don’t consider his meows. Otherwise he definitely does!! . . We got to film a series of clips that will now air on @matadornetwork and their website —- www.matadornetwork.com . . #ad One of my favorite parts of camping is the views you get to see from your tent. I always try to pick the best vistas to wake up to. I love sunsets and sunrises so so much. . . Finally, Boulder is having a heat wave!! This winter was so brutal - lasting over 8 months.The good thing with the long winter is it brought a lot of snow!!   . . This of course has turned my backyard into a flourishing grassy haven with wild flowers galore. It’s been quite a treat relaxing here after work each day. There’s nothing quite like doing a hiking meditation to the sounds of chirping birds and crickets.  . . I recently partnered with @britausa - and I have been trying out their Filtering Bottle which allows me to drink the tap water found in my house and public facilities without as much chlorine and a yucky taste.  Now I can enjoy the taste of my own tap water and save money on buying plastic water bottles. . . As I mentioned in previous stories -- I am currently pledging this summer to reduce my plastic waste.  So using the @britausa Filtering Bottle not only reduces my waste, but produces refreshing great tasting water to drink.   . . Having the greatest time of my life here in Wales. @adventuretoursuk took me on a wild adventure - showing me a hint of what Wales has to offer. So far I have been zipwiring, coasteering, riverbugging and climbing - and the activities keep coming. Have you heard of coasteering before? It’s cliff jumping, scrambling, and swimming around the coast. This picture shows me jumping off one cliff after another. So so much fun. The last couple of days I have gotten to live a childhood dream exploring the natural splendors of Wales. I have always wanted to go to this magical place. . . The last 36 hours have been jammed packed with endless adventures thanks to @adventuretoursuk and of course @virginatlantic for getting me here. . . My purpose for coming to Wales and Manchester is to promote the release of @virginatlantic new route from LA to Manchester. I learned that Manchester is like the gateway to a northern England and north Wales. So many new discoveries since I’ve been here. . . One of my favorite days so far was camping under the starlight sky in the Snowdonia mountains in Wales. It literally felt like I was camping in a fairytale. I swear every Disney movie was made here! . . Anyway this morning I with witnessed the most incredible sunrise that really made happy. I wanted to share this with you. Just remember even when life is at its most stressed - simple things like watching the sunrise can help you spin a bad moment into a not so bad one. Sunrises are here to help us :) . . Day 2 In the UK 🇬🇧 . . I flew via @virginatlantic via their new route that flies direct from LAX to Manchester. Manchester is considered the gateway to Northern England and Wales. . To celebrate this new route I’m touring around the City of Manchester and the hills and coastline of northern Wales. . Today I tried out for the first time zipwiring headfirst. It literally simulated real flight in a way I haven’t experienced before. Definitely not the most flattering shot of me but I was going over 100 mph at the time. . . My amazing cat Simon (@backpackingkitty) traveled with me on my shoulders mountain biking through the mountains of Boulder to end up at a beautiful lake where we treated ourselves to a delicious snack - Oroweat Sandwich Thins rolls. . . I gotta say I love these 100% Whole Wheat Sandwich Thins rolls - made with olive oil and sea salt - they make the perfect snack with smoked salmon, hummus, cucumber slices, avocado and dill weed. Simon doesn’t eat bread - so I gave him Smoked Salmon 😊I'm pretty sure he was in Heaven. They’re gonna be a staple for my adventures to come because they honestly taste great, especially during a long venture. . . Who wants to join our next adventure? Anyone? . .
