Used this pose to make him a taekwando fighter (Gotta give the other XKour characters fighting styles as well :D)

I think I made a mistake about the ratio, because I just checked in the scene itself...

So, the boundary is actually 3:4 to 2:3 -ish.

The reason I made that mistake was because I was only looking at the character page.

Apparently, the character page has a 1:1 viewing boundary, but the actual scene boundary is the aforementioned.

After some experimenting, the best ratio to upload your characters to Gacha Story is in a 1:1 ratio. The game will shrink your image to fit that 1:1 boundary.

(Although, technically, I think I'll be drawing stuff in a 3:4 ratio mostly.)

Better yet if they could upload an official tutorial on the game. (Like a preset story you can play/edit.)

It took me a while to figure out what the sun icon in the upper left corner does in the scene setter.

(It only works when you have more than one character. You select the non-speaker/focus character, then you tap on the icon to change how dimmed the character is.)

I'm working on a tutorial "story" now, but I'm not entirely sure how to order things.

That's why I've been testing out stuff in the game.

I hope this helps visualise how the game handles resizing. (Numbers indicate length of height and width.)

Once I cropped the image, it seems the game had resized each image (zoom 1x) to 563 x 563. However, I believe it will be different for each device's screen resolution.

Also gave her a gacha resort version since she is so underrated (like c'mon she only appeared in gw😭)

Originally, I wasn't planning on drawing two extra expressions for my Gacha Resort portraits.

But then I started getting a bit too into Gacha Story, and unfortunately still hadn't got the time to draw new portraits for my Xkour peeps.

Hence,

I am going to draw two extra expressions for my Gacha Resort portraits of the Xkour guardians.

(Yes, Kilios is originally drawn by PurOrange, but I drew these new expressions.)

Also, like, the third emote (the surprised face) has kind of become the deadpan emote for me.

Wait, I just realised...

You mean none of the characters that have a portrait in Gacha Memories appear in the game!? (Except Phantom.)

Holy sh** they have all my Xkour guardians.

But like... I mean, I kind of expected their artwork to be wonky.

[I'm probably going to end up drawing them out myself... *sighs*]

Kilios doing my version of Cyto's signature pose lmao. At least his smiley face looks good on him.

And then we have Cyto doing the signature Blaz pose.

Also, apparently, they went and used his old design. Huh.

Actually, Frost looks great somehow. But her expressions don't really mesh well with her face...

And- whatdoyoumeanhersleevesaren'tconnectedtohershoulderthings?

I mean, this pose does spell out Gwen's personality. But... skirts don't act that way.

It was kind of ambiguous as to how long Gwen's hair actually is, and to finally find out it is THAT long kind of disappoints me. But hey, I think that's more of a me thing.

Inferno knew he had to do 'em.

He's fine, just wished his posture showed more enthusiasm- HOLY MOLY THOSE ARE SOME DEFINED ABS.

Okay, back to posture, because the next silhouette already disappointed me immensely.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY VALLEY GETS ONE OF THE MOST BORING POSES?

I mean, I guess it does show a "I don't wanna be here" energy, and I'm happy they didn't decide to suddenly plaster on more eyelashes onto her, but STILL.

AND HER ANGRY FACE? THAT'S HER ANGRY FACE? B**CH, I SWEAR.

Honestly, it's more of a problem with all the characters' expressions in general. They have the same expressions. Like, once they show an emotion, suddenly everyone is the same. And as someone who has worked to keep all my fanmade portraits' expressions in GR distinct, this disgusts me. But then again, with so many units, I shouldn't have expected such distinctive personalities... :[

Next up on the list: Missing Cele, Luna, and even Blaz?

Cele, I kind of understand. She's kind of forgettable in Lunime's eyes. (Screw them.)

Luna? Forgetting one of the bosses of GW? Yeah that's weird. Especially since they seem to like her a lot.

BUT BLAZ? AKA THE CHARACTER WITH A GACHAVERSE PRESET? AT ALMOST THE SAME ICONIC-NESS AS CYTO AND MAYBE EVEN KILIOS SINCE HE WAS CREATED BY ASIF? SOMEONE ONCE PART OF THE TEAM? wow.

Who knows, maybe they just haven't finished everyone's portraits... or I'm gonna have to do it myself.

And now, name inaccuracies I've noticed.

"Gwen".

But once she awakens?

Tiff.

Ah yes, Witch "Melody".

"They are both witches whose names end with -dy, same thing."

The customisation does bring me back to Gacha World/Gacha Studio days. And honestly, I think it's fine as a quick way to insert your own characters.

[*Gacha Lifers screaming in the background about how there's limited customisation options, meaning it's a downgrade.*]

If you really wanted to put your OC in exactly as you imagine them, then just draw them out, or commission someone to draw them if you can't. (No, do not use AI, they'd turn out lifeless.)
