Why don't neurotypical people just tell you when they don't want to be your friend/be around you anymore? "Oh, that's rude!" You know what's rude? Pushing someone aside for years until they get the hint. Especially considering how fucking obvious they have to be, to the point of cruelty really, for a neurodivergent person to get those hints. Just say it. Say you don't want to be their friend anymore. It hurts less.

There's no such thing as an "autism epidemic". That is the most ignorant thing I've ever heard. Autism is genetic and is NOT an illness. The reason why there are more and more people being diagnosed with autism is because understanding of autism has progressed and improved over time
