I keep having second thoughts about my break up, but i need to remind myself that despite we having things in common and a good texting energy overall i never once felt attracted to him and was mostly uncomfortable when he initiated "romantic" touch (read: hand holding and hugs... we never even kissed) and i may be weird but he is in another whole level, i couldn't see myself with him long term. The way he was so forward declaring his love for me when we have known each other for so little and how sexual his intentions seemed also made me ick a bit. How can a man put me in a pedestal and say that i would never do anything wrong? Thats a big fucking lie, i am human. The amount of pressure in me to not fuck up (i know that was not his point but still...) when i know that i am a fucked up person mentally speaking (fuck you depression and anxiety)

Still a bit sad that the first time i try to put myself out there and have a relationship made me uncomfortable, that i had to force myself to try and like him when i never did just to have a boyfriend

The other night husband and I were watching a documentary about the yeti where they were doing DNA analysis of samples of supposed yeti fur, and every one of them came back as bears.

Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.

So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.

Bears. They’re everywhere. Be wary. Anyone or anything could be a bear.

okay, yes, Haymitch did choose Katniss in that first arena, whether it was because he thought she had a better chance, or because Peeta oozed martyrdom, or because of personal loyalties to Burdock, or all of the above — but as soon as it becomes possible to save both of them, let’s not forget that Haymitch is doing his damndest to save Peeta too; he is getting the money for drugs and food and expensive medicine; he was prioritizing Katniss initially, but the line “he loves Peeta too” isn’t in there for no reason; Haymitch didn’t have to save them both; he could have communicated “cut your losses; he’s too wounded and too much of a liability” to Katniss, (who, again did not need Peeta or the romance to survive at that point in the Games) but no! he wanted to save them both, and he did
