I’ll never understand that trend so many people jumped on—hating on Lando just to fit in or gain views and likes.

Lando is the kid who chased his dream of reaching F1 since he was little—just like EVERY other driver. and he made it, always staying true to himself. never pretending to be someone he’s not.

i hate how people justify the crap they say about him with things like 'he doesn’t have a champion’s mindset,' 'he can’t handle pressure,' or 'he’s only good because of the car'—as if they could ever do better. he’s come this far on his own merit. with his supposedly 'fragile' mindset.

it’s fine not to like a driver. but death threats??? really???

Lando will be a champion, with the same attitude he’s always had. that’s who he is.

and neither you nor I will change that.

because he’s not going to change just to be liked.

pretty often, i see "messy lando-nice oscar narrative," but how about "messy oscar-nice lando one," where oscar isn't a bad guy - he just isn't used to lose (in studies, racing, sports, relationship, etc.), and lando is not this weak sweet creature unable to stand up for oneself, just a well-raised human being who dgaf why oscar is all of a sudden mad at him when they barely know each other
