all evening all anyone had to say to helaena were their congratulations on her betrothal. she knew eventually her father would find her a match, undoubtedly one she did not want, but that didn’t make her any less annoyed at the announcement that she would be wed. she wanted nothing more than to scream the next time she heard the word congratulations come from someone’s mouth. the princess let out a sigh as she saw another guest approach her, “if you have nothing better to discuss than my upcoming nuptials, you can go, i do not wish to hear another word of my betrothal.”
She had indeed walked up to the young princess to congratulate her on her betrothal but was soon stopped in her tracks by the words she was met with.
An expression of confusion appeared on Joanna’s face. “Oh, that is all right then.” She said, not wishing to upset the Princess any further. “There are other subjects we could discuss then.”

“niclas.” elaena hissed, eyes narrowing as the little boy tugged fitfully at the clothes of a fellow noble — a cheeky grin on his lips, mischief blooming his otherwise dark eyes. ( he reminded her so much of… him, sometimes. in mannerisms and looks, in words and little actions. most of the time, it left an ache in her chest, a pain in her heart — reminding elaena no matter how much time passed, she would never escape him. not truly. not in a way that mattered. )
she reached for little one, pulling back to her side — and that crippling shyness took over, the young lion now hiding behind the silks of his mother’s skirts. elaena sighed, and she wondered: was that from her, or from him? she turned back to the victim in question, a slight, apologetic smile on her lips. “i do apologise for him — he’s still learning not to pull on people’s clothes.”
“That’s completely fine.” Joanna said as she knelt down, a warm smile gracing her features. As she extended her hand, she let her palm gently caress her nephew’s cheek. He was so adorable, she thought. If only he could stay like that forever and never grow up. Joanna had no children of her own, but she loved her brother’s as if they were hers. She never wished for them to lose that childish innocence in their eyes. “He’s a little man. He will learn in time.”

( lily james, she/her ) — here ye, here ye, behold the lady of casterly rock, joanna lannister. the twenty-five year old is known for being charming but has the tendency to be naive too, which should be expected of the golden lioness. ( flowing golden hair, emerald green eyes and the tall and confident stature of a lannister. )
Hello there! I’m excited to meet all of you and to have my first Lannister character, maybe? I don’t remember if I have ever had a Lannister character before now :D Anyway, I hope you’ll like me and I hope you’ll like Joanna too!
Basically, she’s the daughter of the previous Lord of Casterly Rock and his lady wife. Which makes Joanna the younger sister to the current Warden of the West.
She’s not really a typical Lannister. Probably in appearance only. She has a tall and lean stature, blond hair and emerald green eyes (just picture Lily with green eyes :P ). She has the standard Lannister good looks, but she has inherited nothing other than that. She’s on the kinder side, she’s well-behaved with usually good intentions. And Joanna can also be kind of naive, due to her friendly disposition. I chose the moniker of “The Golden Lioness” for her because she has the birth, the looks and the heart to live up to that title.
While at the age of twenty-five, she has yet to wed. She has been betrothed once before when she was fourteen, but it didn’t lead to any actual wedding. Her betrothed was of the same age and probably from an important house as well, but he enjoyed horse-riding too much. During a ride, he suffered an incident - fell off his horse and fatally injured himself. Only hours later, he passed from his injuries. And with that ended Joanna’s betrothal. She hasn’t been promised to anyone else since. How I picture it in my head - it’s because her family didn’t believe anyone was “worthy enough”. It kind of saddens her though, as she definitely does not want to die an old maid.
Joanna spends her time reading books on the history of Westeros, and involving herself in charity around the westerlands. She goes on trips through the westerlands and gives coins and food to the smallfolk. Which has earned their favour, and she’s generally loved by them.
And while Joanna has yet to have children of her own, she contents herself with playing games with her brother’s children whom she loves dearly.
Soo that’s a little bit of info on her, and if anyone wants to plot, feel free to like this post and I’ll message you ;)
