Fanfiction: What if benjamin convinced the animals to rebel against communism?

Hope fades away…

When  the cart arrived, Benjamin read the sign,it was written: “horse slaughterer”, and warned the animals about it. The whole group of animals panicked, and chaos took place all over the animal farm, because boxer was the role model for all the working animals.

Benjamin could not take it anymore. He was going through the last years of his life, and he wasn’t able to let the future generation of the Farm live under the current conditions. In the middle of the chaos, Benjamin reunited with Clover and the horses. In this meeting, Benjamin said that Boxer, without a doubt, was sent to a slaughter house, and that any moment Napoleon could send any of them to their death. This statement shocked the horses, specially Clover, that was absolutely enraged, in a way no one had ever seen her before, and her feeling reached every single one of the horses present in that room. Benjamin suggested a plan, in which the horses would go after Squealer when he was in his most vulnerable moment, during his speeches. The feeling of rebellion was relighted, and even Benjamin was a part of this.

The moment finally came. Squealer made a speech for the animals, saying that the cart took Boxer to the hospital, but he was not able to make it out of there alive, and that he died praising the glories of animal farm. For squealers' surprise, the animals were absolutely enraged with him, specifically Clover. Benjamin, for the first time of his life, started a movement. The horses were living under miserable conditions, and boxer was the only one that made them hope that someday they would get better conditions. Now that boxer was gone, all the horses were enraged, and, during Squealer's speech, Clover and other horses stormed at him, just like they had planned, and Squealer was knocked out of the stage he was speaking in, and taken by the other animals to the barn.

Soon after, the horses went after Napoleon, who was the main target of the rebellion, and was in that luxurious house. The animals expelled him and Squealer out of the farm, which meant an official revolution against the system. Benjamin announced to the animals that they would soon get news about the political state of Animal Farm.

As promised, Benjamin announced a new implementation of a republic called “Animal Farm Republic” that had a new economic and social structure, in which you got what you worked for, that meant meritocracy. Also, now we had a oficial division between the administrators of the farm and the workers. The administrative positions were designated to the most intelligent animals, and the work class were the rest of them. There was an economic difference between those classes, considering that now we had a system of salaries based not only on how much the animal worked for, but also how difficult his job had to be, in terms of technical sophistication. In a few years, almost all the other socialist farms were taken down by public movements, and the conditions of life were absolutely better for the hard working horses, and worse for other animals, like some a part of the pigs, who did not get any special treatment of the new republic.

— Wake up! It's time for Squealer's speech!

Benjamin woke up feeling dizzy. He knew that the system would never change. He got up and listened to the speech, hoping that some horse would storm at Squealer At any moment. Benjamin quietly sneaked out of the place the speech was made, and went back to his lonely barn, cold and lonely barn. Deep down he did not want to live like this anymore, and he knew he was too old to make any changes. There was only one way out, one quick way to a better place.

Later that day, Benjamin was found hanged next to the windmill.
