In act one scene one the characters seemed more relaxed and chilled in the reading. They also knew that the next round of guards were coming. In the clip the guards were more skeptical and scared around every turn as if they were ready for the ghost. I guessing this is because Its just a movie and it gives more nervousness for the characters to build up to seeing the ghost.

“Has any one supposed it lucky to be born?
I hasten to inform him or her it is just as lucky to die, and I know it.”
Though this passage is talking about humans and life, i’m seeing this as the circle of life how many people or so to say animals things are “born to die”.
This meme has some truth because many people live off meat from animals and in order to get the meat the animal has to die so to say these animals were born to die.

With the new re-orientation, it gives a slight different meaning. it’s still talking about music and the marches that come with but with the different order it shows that it has more of a negative impact on the passage for instance the line that says “come with my strong music I play not cornets in my drums.” I feel like it gives a different meaning then the original because it’s saying that the poet is not playing the music as strong.

This portion of the poem describes the music and the emotions of the crowd and the poet. The poet feels passionate about the music and the instruments and excepts the good and bad that comes with the crowd

I came to these conclusions based on the poets choice of words. The poet goes into detail about the findings of the statue and how the king has lost everything. The last line of the poem says, “the lone and level sands stretch far away.” I’m taking this as the empire falling to nothing and being forgotten.

Bartleby, the Scrivener: A Story of Wall-street
"For the first time in my life a feeling of overpowering stinging melancholy seized me. Before, I had never experienced aught but a not-unpleasing sadness. The bond of a common humanity now drew me irresistibly to gloom." -Herman Melville
"I might give alms to his body; but his body did not pain him; it was his soul that suffered, and his soul I could not reach." -Herman Melville
A. Why was the Narrator feeling a "not-unpleasing sadness" for Bartleby?
B. Why is Bartleby's character so confusing to the Lawyer?
C. Do you have experience with dealing with a mental illness for the creation of the character Bartleby?
B. The Lawyer finds Bartleby so confusing because he doesn't understand the predicament he is in. Though it didn't say that he was depressed, by the end the Lawyer had assumed that his previous job took everything away from him. Bartleby had no soul and was tired, the Lawyer didn't understand that.

In the story Jeff says, “I guess I was sad the love could feel so real and the next minute be gone.” the use of the word “love” emphasizes the importance of emotion and how fast emotions can change. If we were to change the word to fondness it would have the same impact because it still emphasizes the emotion they are talking about.

The short story that I chose was “Escape from Spiderhead” by George Saunder. In the short story, the characters are held in this facility where Abnesti is keeping them and drugging them. the drug is making their emotions more enhanced, as if they where falling in love with each other. the characters the he is holding to do these experiments on happen to be criminals so they have no say. The passage that I have above seemed important to the whole story because their emotions are being played with. How do they know what is real? How do they know that what they are feeling is true? Abnesti was able to take those emotions and give them back, he had complete control. This makes me think deeper into reality. We, as humans get to control our own life. We fall in love, then we have our heart broken. Our emotions are all over the place. these trials are testing with peoples emotions almost as humans do everyday. Though it is not being forced on us, we chose. This aspect of life is difficult but its the accepting portion we have to understand.

She sensed his [reluctance] to continue.
She sensed his [unwillingness] to continue.
The second sentence changes the meaning of the original because it means that this person is unwilling to finish what they started. They didn’t what too.
The original is talking about how she didn’t want to continue talking but unwillingly did. she forced what she was saying out of her mouth and pored it out on the table.m

The first represents imagination because it’s a child’s drawing. A child’s mind and heart is full of love, happiness and unquestionable imagination. What we would see is just a messy but adorable picture, while the child sees all the memories and love that a family is giving them. They see happiness, representation and they have the ability not care about the specifics. As you get older, a drawing needs to be precise by neatness, details and expression but a child is free, care-free. It’s what makes their mind so unique.
The second picture represents form by the my family. A family starts off small, with two individuals. Once things get serious, they might have a dog or a cat, or some type of pet making the family bigger; or they have a child or few. They grow up learning each other, how they act when they are mad, sad, happy and confused. The learn their likes and dislikes, what makes them scream for joy, simply they learn everything about each other. Then the child grows up and has their own family but it is still adding on from the first two individuals. Form comes in all shapes and sizes, my family’s form is continuing to grow and is learning about each other more and more everyday.
Imagination and form relate because imagination is the act or power of forming a mental image of something not present, while form is the shape and structure of something as distinguish from its material. Now we are able to imagine something or want some thing and then having it right in front of you. For example, in my pictures above there is a picture of a child’s drawing, my drawing. The picture represents my family, I imagined my families happiness and love while drawing. Then in the second picture is my family now. Though it has grown I was able to imagine my families happiness and then as we grow up we form the happiness.
Imagination and form gestures to reality outside of our space by the environment and the people around us. Everybody has an imagination, everybody has in mind full of creativity and is also able to confront and deal with the problems they are thinking about. The imagination is then put into shape and structure and is turned into a form. It’s like imagining how well popcorn taste or how well a movie is going to be and then there is the process of making the imagination real and it turns into a form. The popcorn will be popped and the movie will be finished and we will know if it’s good or not. Everything can be imagined but it can also be formed into reality.
