This might be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think Peggy and Dr. Kirkland have good chemistry. They’re sweet yes, but there’s no spark or fire. I know Mr. Fortune is married (and this season they made him a jerk), but you can’t deny that he had crazy chemistry with Ms. Scott. It just feels a bit underwhelming going from that to this. Imma ride with Peggy through whatever though.

Season 2 of The Buccaneers has been such a disappointment especially after the season 1 finale which was best episode of the show. The writing and characterization is uneven and feels like a completely different show than what they were setting up in the first season.

Have y’all noticed this trend on tiktok (and probably other social media platforms) of adults calling just hanging out and having fun with their friends “girlhood”? I’ll see posts like “I love being in my 20s bc I can have taco and margarita sleepovers with my friends. This is girlhood!” And I don’t get it 😭😭 Are they conflating “sisterhood” with girlhood?? Bc when I think of girlhood I think of adolescence, but I only see grown ass people using this

I think the problem with this season is that no one can decide what the point of this show is. A lot of them are saying it’s to explore while also getting mad at people for exploring? And making different rules for everyone when it comes to how to explore… idk it’s just no one is on the same page and there’s no consistency

i don't like how no one is believing jd when he said some boundaries were crossed during the casa challenge with him and huda and that production didn't include the full context of their conversation... people are saying he's "weaponizing therapy language", "production would've shown if anything else happened" and straight up "i don't believe him" oooh i don't like it at all. especially when there are a lot of examples on this season of production chopping up scenes and splicing different ones together.

and he said "i can't say too much" and people are saying "because nothing else happened!" when we LITERALLY DON'T KNOW! these people are in a house controlled by producers who put out whatever narratives they want to. also not to mention regular people getting thrown into crazy contracts with legalese they don't fully understand. idk. i just don't like how people are treating this man for expressing obvious physical discomfort with that challenge. could he have used better words than dominated? perhaps, but it's so wild to me that that's what everyone harped on instead of what he was actually trying to say.
