Important thing just popped up for fic writers and artists

Hello everyone! I'm writing this because I've locked my fics on AO3, due to a GenAI scrap of AO3. Most of my works are sadly affected, and have thus gotten stolen, except for like the newest two. @morriganfey has locked hers down too, and some others may too in the future.

If you want to read my works, whether new ones or old ones, you should get an AO3 account! I promise it makes things much easier!

If you're a writer on AO3, you might want to take a look at this Reddit post, see if any of your works are affected

This is a problem regardless of fandom or anything. If your fics weren't locked down already, and they fall between a certain number of ids, then it got stolen.

Now I've tagged this with mostly my own fics and the fandoms I've been posting fics in, but I've also tagged some Anti-AI tags and some tags relating to AO3, so hopefully a couple more people will see it too.

It'd be great if people could reblog this. Because regardless of fandom, this is a problem for everyone, both for artists and for writers

About Sun and Death

This is something that's honestly always bugged me in the SAMS fandom, but can anyone tell me why in the world so much of the fandom is convinced Sun needs to die to catch a break? 😭 I've seen it in so many places and it seriously baffles me every time.

My only idea as to why people feel this way about it is because of Sun himself saying, "Sometimes I wish I was dead. At least Moon got a fresh start [by resetting], but I have to keep living with this!"

WHICH MAKES IT SO MUCH WORSE

Why would you ever listen to someone say, "Sometimes I wish I was dead so I could escape my pain," and think, "Yeah, that sounds like a really good idea! If you die, you'd get a nice break! ^w^" I know it gets a bit blurry when the characters can come back eventually, but even then, we have never had any legitimate evidence that death is ever positive for these characters, no matter how they die.

Moon (as far as I know) has never expressed that he enjoyed his time being "dead." (I know he technically wasn't but they do still call it his death, so bleh.) Solar hasn't, either. I'm positive these two were extremely affected by their deaths in a negative manner, they just don't say so presumably because they don't want to worry their loved ones and feel the need to remain strong for them.

Not either of them had a "nice break," they just got tucked away for a bit until they came back to more trouble. And as we've seen from Lunar's and Earth's experiences with death, it's incredibly traumatic to go through. I'm pretty sure at one point even Eclipse said it was harrowing.

Understandably so. It's death. Not a picnic! Even the suggestions of the afterlife we get in the Uno videos, even if they're not canon, are not a break. They're just the characters being stuck playing Uno and voicing great discontent about it. Is that what you want guys? Do you want poor Sun to get stuck playing Uno in the afterlife? >:( You monsters? /j

The truth is, what Sun needs to catch a break... Is a legitimate break. A vacation, time off from the daycare and from all his worries. Maybe have Moon take care of Dazzle for a bit or just take her with him if he leaves for his vacation. He also needs therapy from a legitimate, licensed therapist who is not a member of his family.

"Inky, they don't have rights they can't get therapy-" I call slipshod excuses. You mean to tell me they have ways around that to buy a house but can't find a therapist who says, "Money is money, I'll give an animatronic therapy"? Sun could probably use his magic to don a human disguise if he really needed to.

But in the end, it really boils down to this: death is not the solution to give Sun a break from his problems. And I'm still very confused as to why the fandom thinks it would be.

EAPS AU Where Ruin accidentally pissed off Cringe Foxy and he punched him so hard he split in two of Sun and Moon.

Eclipse already figured Ruin was made of Sun and Moon, he just didn't expect them to get shorter when they split. Moonshine just wasn't sure how Eclipse would react to seeing him since he's a Moon.
