My ICT Project Implementation Experienced
Tumblr media
1. When creating an ICT project, content, design, and value should all be considered. While creating content, think about the website's user engagement requirements, the goal statement, and the areas where you can put registration forms or an activity calendar. Following that, the platform should be evaluated, and multimedia content added. Finally, there's the value, or how you'll entice your audience to participate.
2.Thinking about how valuable my project was and what benefits my ICT project could bring to my audience was one of the most difficult problems I experienced while working on it.
3. Cyberbullying is a type of content that forces or motivates me to take action.
Tumblr media
4.Based on what I learned during the process of creating my ICT project, I'll assess my grasp of how to develop an ICT project.
5. I'll give myself a 8 because I've learned how to create ICT projects.
6. I assigned myself a 8 because I understand that no one is perfect, and there are some parts of designing an ICT project that I need to improve and learn more about.

Long Term Effects of Drug Addiction
Tumblr media
Drug addiction can lead to numerous physical and mental health problems in the future. Drug addiction causes long-term changes to the brain which makes quitting almost impossible. Examples of physical health problems are lung cancer, heart disease, liver damage, and kidney failure. Mental health problems that can occur are depression or anxiety. It is possible to reverse all of these health problems through long-term drug addiction treatment, and to start learning how to live without drugs.
Some physical health problems can occur in certain systems and organs like: The Cardiovascular System: – Using cocaine damages the heart every time it is used. Injectable drugs can make veins cave in and there can be infections in your cardiovascular system due to unclean needles. Long-term heart disease and heart failure can be from prolonged stimulant abuse. The Respiratory System: – Diseases like emphysema, lung cancer, and chronic bronchitis affect the lungs and any drug that is smoked can damage the lungs. If you have asthma, opioids can make it worse and impair breathing. Kidney Damage: – Kidney failure is life threatening, and many drugs can cause prolonged kidney damage. Kidney damage is caused from lack of water (dehydration), failure of muscle tissue, and increased body temperature. Liver Damage: – Liver damage can be caused from prescription opioids and heroin, and mixing these drugs with alcohol makes the damage more severe. It is possible in severe cases that there is life-threatening liver damage. Gastrointestinal Damage: – Several drugs can cause damage to your intestines and/or stomach. Symptoms can be acid reflux, constipation, and chronic pain. The brain and addiction work like a reward system, the neurotransmitter, dopamine rewards the brain every time a drug is taken. Dopamine, comes in large doses in the brain, which creates an overwhelming amount of pleasure or euphoria. Overstimulating the brain with dopamine creates changes to the brain. Too much dopamine can make your brain produce less dopamine. This happens because your brain already has too much dopamine from taking the drugs. The result of this is why most long-term drug users feel depressed or lethargic. Some mental health problems can occur from long-term drug abuse: Impaired Cognitive Function: – Glutamate, a neurotransmitter in the reward system, is changed from drug use. It makes thinking and concentrating harder, because it changes the way you think after the glutamate is changed. Changes in Memory: – Drug addiction alters a person’s memory and learning, conditioning them to seek out and use drugs. Cues in a person’s environment serve as stimuli, causing them to desire and want a drug on an unconscious basis. Changes in Brain Connection: – Drug use has an effect on more than just the brain’s reward system. Drug abuse affects other ways as well, causing physical changes in the relations between neurons, or brain cells, over time. More ties are forming in some places, although they are dwindling in others. Brain Cells Die: – Many drugs are toxic and can cause brain cell death. These cells can never live again, and the damage is irreversible
It’s important to note that, no matter the drug, these effects can happen fast. Many people – particularly early users – are under the impression that doing drugs a handful of times will not be cause for concern. Many will use drugs very casually or recreationally, without thinking about the potential consequences. Every now and then, it’s okay to use drugs, right? Unfortunately, the short answer is no. There is always a risk when using drugs, even if it is for the first-time. Drug overdose happens fast, especially among unknowing users who take too much at once, or who unintentionally take a laced drug (which is becoming more of an issue than ever before). Not only is overdose a potential risk, but long-term use of any drug (no matter how much or how often one is using), can make a person vulnerable to its long-term effects. Each time you use drugs, they interfere with the way your brain works, disrupting its chemical make-up and changing the way it communicates with the rest of the body. Each class of drug has a different effect on the brain, but all have the potential to leave lasting changes that impact the way a person thinks, learns, and behaves. This is where addiction comes into play. As more of a drug is used, the brain starts to rely on it to function and requires more and more of the drug to get high. Knowing this, you can better understand that addiction is clinically considered a chronic disease of the brain. Because of the way they affect the brain, over time, drugs will begin to alter a person’s capacity to make rational decisions, to pay attention and remember things, to motivate themselves, and ultimately, to experience pleasure and be happy. These effects can be long-term, and lead to or bring about co-occurring mental health issues down the road.

Why you should choose Stem strand?
Tumblr media
What is Stem strand?
STEM is a teaching philosophy that integrates all four disciplines together into a single, cross-disciplinary program which offers instruction in real-world (as opposed to purely academic) applications and teaching methods. This is important to understand because getting a math degree doesn’t necessarily mean you completed a STEM program, even if math is a STEM subject. Without the integration of all four disciplines and the use of real-world teaching methods, you don’t get the educational benefits that make STEM degrees so valuable and careers in STEM fields so desirable.
Is taking Stem strand Difficult?
STEM is hard. Likely the most difficult challenge you've ever considered taking on. Even the most gifted and driven students struggle with it. The students who succeed are the ones apply themselves every day and approach that challenge head on.
STEM is extra heavy on science and math. Remember, the disciplines that STEM focuses on are Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. While technology and engineering might sound like fun (I mean, who wouldn’t want to build robots in class?) for a large portion of potential students, science and math are very much not fun. Unfortunately, being able to quickly master these two subjects is an integral part of doing well in STEM. Science and math are particularly important in STEM because technology and engineering are dependant on them. If an Architectural Engineering student needed to design a 10-story building, they would first need to understand the underlying mathematical and scientific principles that make a building like this possible. STEM careers share this heavy reliance on either math or science—often both. This is why students who don’t perform well in math or science so often quit STEM to follow an easier academic program. Or they just fail out. However, this doesn’t mean that STEM is beyond reach if you’ve struggled with these subjects in the past. It just means that STEM will likely be more difficult for you than others. Alternatively, you might find that understanding these two subjects is actually easier for you than it has been in the past, given the practical way these subjects are taught in a STEM program. For the rest of you super smart left brain types who excel at math and science, don’t get too excited just yet. Math and science are only the tip of the iceberg.
What are the advantages of taking Stem Strand?
STEM fields offer students more than just a close look at how the world works. Even though changes in STEM education are altering the way students engage with and react to those fields of study, the process is slow. However, the more students learn practical, hands-on uses for the information they’re learning, the more they will warm to the subject matter. Something else to interest and even excite students? Careers in STEM fields are challenging, fun, and exciting. Some students may lack interest in STEM studies, and this may mean they will overlook careers in STEM fields. But what are the advantages of STEM careers for current students? GETTING AN EARLY START
Today’s students often go through their entire secondary education without being able to pinpoint exactly what they want to do with their lives. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but think about how having a firm plan earlier on can help students better prepare for their future. By keeping students informed about possible careers in STEM, teachers can help them better understand what they might do after they earn their high school diploma.
Tumblr media
What can I do with a STEM education after graduation?
Technology advances by leaps and bounds seemingly every day. Yet everything from new software to new metal alloys for spacecraft to the discovery of new sources of renewable energy or the cure for a previously incurable disease all need to be produced by someone. And as technology continues to advance, the already high demand for STEM professionals continues to climb.
Going through a STEM program is pretty intense. It requires a lot of dedication, perseverance, and sacrifice to make it all the way through. However, this style of education builds the skills and mindsets that employers find incredibly valuable. And since the demand for STEM professionals is so high, employers in STEM fields are willing to offer some of the most generous starting salaries that recent graduates can get.
The most in-demand STEM careers right now:
Computing is one of the fastest growing STEM fields. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, roughly 71% of STEM careers are in computing. Not sure what “computing” is, exactly? Just think along the lines of Software Developers, Statisticians, or Computer Systems Analysts. If they work with computers or programs, they probably have a career in computing.
This high demand for computing professionals makes sense if you consider how much of our lives have become reliant on some form of digital technology. It’s how we communicate and keep in touch. It’s how we entertain ourselves. It starts the engines in our cars; in medical practices, it keeps us alive; it drives massive segments of our economy; and for better or worse, advances in digital technology will continue to control the future direction of our society. As our daily lives become more reliant on software and digital devices, jobs in computing will become increasingly more important.
Engineering and Physical Science is the next largest category of in-demand STEM careers. These are careers like Orthodontists, Petroleum Engineers, Biochemists, Nurse Anesthetists, Civil Engineers, and Cartographers. Yes, cartographers—map makers—are still a thing and they earn a median salary of $63,990. (Cool, I know.) These types of careers have much less to do with computers and more to do with rolling up your sleeves and getting elbow deep in real work, with real results that you can see right now.
Life Sciences and Mathematics are much smaller fields than the previous two, but they make up the third most significant chunk of STEM careers. These two fields involve the more theoretical STEM careers that account for only a small amount of the demand for STEM professionals. These are careers like being a Clinical Research Associate or an Economist that—while still in demand—might be harder to find a position in.
However, these are by no means your only options when it comes to STEM careers. It doesn’t matter whether you prefer working with computers, building robots, drawing blueprints for skyscrapers, or developing groundbreaking medicine. If you can make it through a STEM program in college, there’s a STEM career for you.
