Poppea village was a residential leisure village, however, there are rooms dedicated to the production of wine and oil.
It is located in the ancient Roman city of Oplontis (Torre Annunziata), Italia.
It was attributed to Poppea Sabina, wife of Nero, by an inscription found on an amphora addressed to her. It dates from the year 39 BC. and it was enlarged at the time of the Julio-Claudian dynasty. At the time of the eruption of Vesuvius (year 79) the house was not inhabited.
