I鈥檝e been on quite a聽#poetry聽kick in聽#northcarolina聽- I decided to make a short film with聽#poems聽I wrote between 2010-聽#2020聽! The poems from 2010-2013 were mostly about the madness and thoughts that come from聽#mentalillness聽and聽#addiction聽. I had recently been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and was attempting to get sober in 2010. Through the years of recovery I became focused on spirituality, creativity, community, connection, and exercise. My poetry began to reflect that. I share this work because: a. I have a need to express and connect (lack of expression leads to depression) and b. For anybody who is struggling with mental illness or addiction, it can get better. Much, much better. Thank you to everybody who has helped me along the way, and as聽#happygilmore聽might say, I hope to see you by the bay!

This collection is comprised of THE GROOMSMAN, a television pilot; the short films OSTENSIBLY and SALVO; and the special edition director's cut of feature film JOHN I AM. These projects were made between 2016-2019 with amazing friends and family. I am releasing them all today as the COVID-19 virus spreads so people can have more entertainment to watch and also we are connecting it to a Mental Health Foundation fundraiser on Facebook.
