Movie Review

On October 29 year 1869,the brave and fearless hero of the Philippines was born,he was named Antonio Luna. Antonio was the seventh son of a humbled family,but cultivated. It showed in the movie that he has an enormous skills for his studies after he graduated secondary at the Ateneo de Manila within 15 years. He remained studying in college at the University of Barcelona and he got 'Bachelor's Degree' until he reach his dream and return back here in our country obtaining "Doctors Degree".After this success, antonio never expect that Emilio Aguinaldo(the president of the philippines at that time) will appoint him as a commander of Independence Army. Based on the movie, antonio decided to leave his degree, because his endeavor is to protect our country against from the foreign terrorists and he certainly accepted this opportunity.

Despite of his position, most of the cabinet member criticized him in the way on how he govern his troops. There's a scene in the movie that Emilio summoned him for an urgent cabinet meeting and Antonio asked for his resignation in this type of position, he feel worthless and disappointed,because many filipino s killed and persecuted by the American Terrorists. Some are unsatisfied and judged him as a dictator—things that recently happening in our government,there's a lot of political misunderstanding that will lead them into a trouble instead of solving the main problem; Education,poverty etc.,.I remembered once my uncle told me that "POLITICS IS DIRTY FROM THE PAST 'TIL NOW" and yes,it's true. Likewise nowadays ,many people boost their criticism and vainly contradicted the style of Duterte's govenment instead of supporting it. Aside of these scenarios, a lot of community problems we are facing and no one knows how to return back our ruined country into a peaceful one.

"History repeats itself" this message of the movie makes me understand why we are living in this chaos state of life, that seems like we aren't value the importance of history and the sacrifices of our heroes on behalf of our country. We didn't feel the pain that experienced by them, we must watch this movie with all of our heart and mind. Luna said "our biggest enemy is ourselves" thats why we must fight for our negative thoughts, revoke all of our doubts, we must think carefully before we decide, avoid blaming others and we need to take good action and expect the same way. I assure you that those aspects will help to awaken our country from a dreadful nightmare.
