Honestly the best thing I ever did for my dysphoria is accept I'm female and I can't change that but I sure as hell wear my binder, learn to speak with a deeper voice, and let my girlfriend call me handsome, dress androgynous etc. That doesn't work for everyone and it might not work for me later but fuck it man

I find it interesting that Vyvyan (whilst being shown clearly irritated with Rick and others asking why he has a "girl's name") doesn't change his name at all. You'd think with his rebellious nature, the fact that he's a punk, and that he hates his mother too, that he'd at least try to change his name at some point - or even mention why he was called that in the first place. Maybe he just likes it regardless though.

Also interesting to think about why he was named this to begin with; the in-universe reason could possibly be that his mother wanted a girl but still kept the name she originally thought of when she had a boy instead. There's also the fan theory that Vyv is trans and just kept his birth name. In terms of when they were writing his character though, I did read somewhere that Ade thought it'd be cool to name his character a gender-neutral name too - not sure if that was actually the reason but who knows.
