Jolie's sort of aimlessly wandering about with hands in worn denim pockets, no real destination made clear by the path she's carving out — plenty to do and see, and yet she is content with the mere change of scenery while she continues to thoroughly map out the caverns of her own headspace. A festival's the last place she needs to be, really, but it's something like tradition buried in her bones. She still doesn't like the taste of spun sugar on her tongue after the year Jeffrey bought her all the candy floss she could ever want and she went to bed with a bellyache, but it's perhaps the glimmering reflection of a family that she's pieced together with fragmented memories and a douse of her own romanticism to put her back on the streets and search for something.

Her phone buzzes in her pocket as she passes by a bar with the doors open and the rumble of a bass line and laughter leaking onto the road. She fishes it out, glancing down at the bright screen that the press of her finger unlocks.

His contact photo is a tiny bubble of thought, the heart emojis she has too strong of an attachment to ever replace with his name out of reverence smiling up at her. It's a calming sense of relief to see an appearance of him, like he knows she's out wandering and needs an anchor tethering her to reality.

She misses him more than words can say, which is why she's happy to make him her true north as her feet meet the dusting of sand on the wood. The distance she's felt more often than not these days is a tricky game; she wants, so badly, to be near him, but the minute she arrives, the itch under her skin arrives. Maybe the ocean will be different, a kinder ground than the restaurants and living rooms that they've shared since her return from tour. The ocean's got more power than she ever will, a concession she'll make because she knows her size in the universe. Maybe tonight, all will feel different. The deeper her feet nestle into the sand, she finds her eyes scanning the steady line of the water for him.

Late evening rolls around and Don feels a sense of tiredness wash over him as the sky darkens, revealing a blanket of stars. After an eventful evening, he takes some time alone, his body settled in the sand, watching as the waves calmly sway. He thinks of the day come and gone after spending all morning and afternoon with Thea. The press tour for their new series was already proving tedious, journalists taking it upon themselves to ask inappropriate questions about their respective pasts. It was strange how in moments like those, he just wanted to see Jolie. Over the years, their relationship has become somewhat of a much-needed comfort for Don. Jolie was his safety net, the one constant in his life that he couldn’t bare to let go of, even in the face of new change and two growing minds.

The need to see her leads Don here, sitting on the beach and unlocking his phone, going to text his girlfriend. The light from the screen illuminates his tired face as he goes to type out a message. Back when their romance first began, his words used to flow freely and without a care, now he endured a sense of unwavering nervousness in the face of communicating with the one he loved.

sort of a perfectly chaotic storm occurring, including meeting her birth father, falling into the music scene, and those lil' nepo connections helping her into the room when it came to songwriting. she didn't like being the one to perform at first and sold a lot of her own songs to other artists/writing with artists for their albums, but eventually, she had a song hit radio w her own vocals and labels started chasing her, so she paid a friend $150 to pretend to be her manager and signed with a label at 22

smash hit. everyone loves. jolie's life blows up in the best way possible and in order to feel as though she has some semblance of control on the incontrollable, she starts heavily depending on drugs ( more than just the recreational use from her teenage years ) — her second album is fully recorded while high, and she ends up oding shortly after wrapping up that album's tour. her dad intervenes, she goes to rehab, and the two of them buy a house with her for her to move into once she's released

girlie released an album about a year ago and has just come off of the short-ish tour, back in la, doing her Best to stay sober all while continuing to throw herself into work like she doesn't have a problem and potentially reconnecting w/ her mom's side of the family. bc apparently that's a thing now.

JOLIE ST. CLAIR DISCOGRAPHY 2015 - PRESENT

Ultraviolet (2015) — After years of being behind the scenes writing for other artists, Ultraviolet's release thrust Jolie St. Clair back into the spotlight and away from her family's influence. While most of the songs on the album had already been heard by listeners who saw St. Clair perform during festival circuits in the summer of 2014 and 2015 respectively, the album was a critically acclaimed debut and earned Jolie Best New Artist nominations at the following year's Grammy awards. The album was hailed for St. Clair's distinct writing style and self-production. Somebody Else became the biggest hit off of the album, reaching number one nearly six months after the album's release and nearly 134 million streams. She went on three separate tours for the Ultraviolet album.

Wonderland (2018) — Debuting at number two on the Billboard charts, this is Jolie's most popular and awarded album to date. Wonderland (stylized as WONDERLaND) spawned five singles: Hypnotic, Bikini Porn, Gone, East of Eden, and Midnight Rain. Hypnotic and Gone would be Jolie's first singles to feature her vocals to hit mainstream radio. This album is infamously known for being written and recorded while St. Clair was under the influence. It is also the only album to feature St. Clair's face on the cover, despite all her album covers being personal photos of herself.

time forgets no one (2022) — A surprise release on the eve of her thirty-first birthday, entirely recorded and produced in Lady Zeus Studios, St. Clair's personal studio space. Time Forgets No One (stylized as time forgets no one) would become Jolie's highest rated album, receiving a 92 score on Metacritic. Grapefruit was the only official single and song to be sent to radio, a surprise to fans considering the number of singles Wonderland had produced. St. Clair would reveal in an interview with Rolling Stone that she was the sole producer on the album and had written and recorded all of the songs completely sober. It was also revealed that the album's title was written in St. Clair's handwriting on the cover.
