“I challenge us to change, because as Charles Darwin once observed, 'It is not the strongest species that will survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.'”

Pave my days with the sneaky breeze so I can taste the details of an ordinary moment Because I do not want to name the obelisks or to drink from the labels of your noisy tongue Naked I will bear the climbing free from the weight of a face and a name.
J. Carlos Szczepanik - (Volanting)

Clarinha, a cientista.
“Every kid starts out as a natural-born scientist, and then we beat it out of them. A few trickle through the system with their wonder and enthusiasm for science intact.”

The world... Full of noise. It steals our time away. Our perishable time. It makes difficult to discriminate the miracle from the noises. And life vanishes by filth. Actually, we never see with eyes.

Mary Oliver reading "Wild Geese"
Wild Geese
You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves. Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine. Meanwhile the world goes on. Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the landscapes, over the prairies and the deep trees, the mountains and the rivers. Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air, are heading home again. Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting — over and over announcing your place in the family of things.
- Mary Oliver

Quote
If you want to get warm you must stand near the fire: if you want to be wet you must get into the water. If you want joy, power, peace, eternal life, you must get close to, or even into, the Thing that has them.
C.S. Lewis

How could you ever possibly accept anything at all that doesn’t taste like music?

“What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?"- Rob Gordon”
― Nick Hornby, in High Fidelity
