To reach a neww heaven, new earth
This body will pass through fire
And all that will remain is life
Amen, come Lord Jesus

Psalm
I sing praises to Yahweh!
For He is good, His faithful love endures forever
Though my body was weak
He has healed me
Though I was in the pit of Sheol
He has lifted me up
Only do the living praise His name
And He has made me one of the living, again
This nail in my side has eased
Though I know he can bring it back
This suffering is meant to humble me
To put me in my right place
A man, created from dust, to dust I will return
But this mortal body will be raised immortal
What falls as a seed will be raised in glory
And I will shine as the everlasting sun with Him
To the unbeliever, I ask
Do you know who your savior is?
The one who rescues you from ultimate death?
To the unbeliever, I plead
Do you know that God has a name?

Friday's last reviews
Saturday's farewells
Sunday's taking flight
Here you are, once again
Straw hat in hand, sandals on well-worn feet
Rising higher to the floating world
May this prayer float upon the air to you
And this wish, for your mother:
May healing come cupped in folded hands
Motherland is what you called it,
Home is where the chakra resides
This string of hello's held together in goodbye's
"Meeting is the beginning of parting"
The passing fall,
Owls mourn,
Fishes weep,
With tearful eyes
In that still pond of lotus flowers
One departs, but many go with her
"This, here, is what scares me
I will go to it, become one with it"
And, perhaps, you will find God in the desert
From letters to footsteps, each one
Radiant, encircled, a light upon golden hair
Every word, in meter of mine
Blesses you, dear friend
I say only this:
"Bend with the wind
For it rises, teaching us how to live"
The moon is setting
Guests return home,
Some stumbling,
All raising their voices with joy;
So it is time for the master of ceremonies
With eye upon the departure door
To pen the final stanza:
"On the journey to the far north /
Follow the humble monk's path /
Return to celebrate winter's traditions /
I will have with me a pecan pie"

Sharing joy and pain alike

I am become death
Destroyer of worlds
The physical sin
A reckoning for the desolate planet
Can a warring people produce peace
There is shelter in the other world
All that is seen is not what is unseen
One man, whose idol was the US Government
One man, who showed us the way
When God stands on top of earth
The judgment of living and dead
It will be an atom bomb
An atom bomb will destroy us

I will take care of you
If you can take care of me
One dance
All family
I'm trying to be a better person
But the faults and cracks
Breaking through underneath
Drop bits of dust where
Gaps are filled
When I look up and see your face again
Old friend
And am reminded that you carried me once
As I carried you
I will take care of you
If you can take care of me
One love
One family
Here on earth
