Before anyone asks if I’m glad to be back home, I’m not. I had a great time on the road, and having to decorate for Valentine’s Day is probably some kind of punishment for leaving on such short notice. Breadstix is gonna look like a fucking Hallmark store, and I’m not excited. Approach with caution, I’m not in a good mood.
.
Sorry to hear things aren’t that great for you right now. Hope they look up. It might not be your thing, but I could bring you fudge if you’d like?

Glad to hear your new year is off to a good start. And a happy belated birthday; hope it went well also.
.
What about you, how has yours been? Thank you, it was good.

I think deciding to learn something new, even if it’s just in a hobby sense, is a good thing.
.
I like learning new things and it’s been a while, though I don’t know what I’d learn. Might have to see what’s available and all that.

Well that does make sense, I think it wonderful when people are so passionate about things. I just can’t help but get a little concerned as a nurse. Just to see people come over and over for similar injuries. But I mean as long as they are happy and safe that’s what matters.
.
It’s always so interesting to find out what people are passionate about. I have a customer, little old lady, who is constantly coming in to get her hair done because she loves the way the colors look and she tells me about her grandkids and how much they love that she dyes her hair. What is life without a little risk though, right? I mean, you’re gonna get hurt every now and again, that’s just how life goes, and just because you got hurt doesn’t mean you weren’t being safe. Can always get hurt worse.

Absolutely. It’s been exactly what I needed. That’s great that you were able to do that. I bet it helped recharge your batteries. I’m sure it get’s busy around the holidays and then again maybe the few days leading up to New Years with all the parties and celebrations.
How were your holidays?
That’s good, I’m glad. it did, it was very useful, for sure. It can, yes, everyone wanting something fun and festive and actually having the time to get it done.
They were good. A little lazy, a little slow, but good.

That’s exactly it, I can see it. There are so many things in the world to see and experience and people deserve to live their lives. But it always amazes me the risks people are willing to take for it. Especially so many times in a row.
.
You do what you love and sometimes it takes multiple times to get it right, y’know? And for some things, that means you get hurt over and over and over again, until one day you get it right.

Yeah, it was actually really great. My sister and I had a nice Christmas together and then I spent New Year’s at Halo with Tommy and it was really nice as well. How about yourself?
.
That’s good, I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed it. I had a rather laid back holiday, honestly. Nothing too big or fancy, helped out my sister a bit, spent time with my parents, that sort of thing.

I’ve been back in Lima for almost a month now and I can say I did not miss this place. The majority of people are still idiots, the food is ridiculously greasy as hell, and I still feel like I’m living in the dark ages sometimes with people’s opinions on today’s issues.
On the plus side working at Luxe has been badass, it’s really cool the community theatre is doing RENT, low key mad I wasn’t here to audition but it is what it is, and I am back together with my family which is relatively dope. But why don’t ya’ll tell me everything I’ve missed these past couple of years?
.
Honestly, I don’t think you’ve missed much, given not much tends to happen in this town.

While I understand how exciting the New Year can be, it gives you that push to step out of your shell and that is a beautiful thing. But I really wish people would be more careful, it has been almost non stop at the hospital. Is it truly worth the risk just to try something new? I am actually curious.
.
I’ve never personally had that kind of interest in things that could be seen as dangerous, but everyone is different and I can understand the appeal, to an extent.

I’ve taken upon the project and redoing my entire house. Now, now … don’t get me wrong. I love the way my house is set up but I think it’s the time of year that I need to set up something new. Some changes. A little change never hurt anyone, yeah? However what I do not recommend is going to the store and pay in singles because you will be judged. Like damn Brenda, I’m sorry that you can’t handle the fact that people actually pay to see my body. I didn’t come into this mall to get judged.
.
Well that’s exciting. How’s it going?

After my first week of classes again, I’m glad to say they’re actually pretty interesting; for the most part. However, while online classes are convenient, they are a little less engaging. I find myself having to record the sessions and go back and listen again. Thankful that I joined the musical as well since it’s a good way to shift away from class/study mode. Anyone else taking classes (online or other wise) this year?
.
I am not, though I’ve considered it, perhaps in more of a hobby sense, but haven’t particularly decided on anything.

I can’t believe it’s the middle of January already. Some years January seems to drag on forever, and now this year…it feels like New Years was just a couple of days ago. It might be because I find myself thinking of it, maybe. Did anyone make any resolutions? How are they going?
.
Time certainly has an odd way of flying, that’s for sure. Can’t say I made any resolutions but my year is certainly off to a good start, so I imagine that’s all that really matters.

Thank you, Punkaj. Yeah, my best bet is that, their partner made them get flowers, for the holiday. Yeah, it was a customer, thank god. How’s the salon going?
.
Of course. Ah, makes sense. Oh, good. It’s going good, busy as always.

I don’t understand why people feel the need to overshare when they speak to receptionists. If you’re an hour late, you don’t get to just walk in an that’s the rule– I literally don’t care that you’re late because your dog got out almost got hit by a car, Stephanie. Keep it in a kennel when you leave and be on time. It’s not my problem.
.
Does my father know he hired someone with no compassion or?

Someone was singing a horrid rendition of American Pie today at the flower shop and let me tell you. I didn’t know that someone can sing that song so horrible and wrong. I think the more he sang, some of the flowers kind of wilted and we tried everything to save them, but. We couldn’t. Thank god I’m off until the third of January, or I don’t think I could’ve made it any longer.
.
Well, happy to hear you thought to take time off. Though that certainly sounds like a rough customer to have. At least I hope it was a customer.

I love my job, and while the last few days were energy filled, and hectic, it was again very memorable. That being said, it was awesome to crash with my girlfriend last night and spend the day lazing around watching Christmas movies and eating the cookies and chocolate I got from my students (and their parents) this year with Aspen. (I’m saving the wine, and gift cards to take Caden out later.) Day one of Christmas break was officially a success.
Who else is on Christmas break now too? How’s yours been so far?
Has the rest of your break gone well? I took some time off from the salon, just a few days, which have been nice.

It has, I don’t know where the time has gone. It feels like yesterday was Halloween and like we’ve completely skipped November. Everything is all festive now and I’m happy about it.
.
I imagine you had a good holiday then?
