My travelling painting set up. ⠀ Perched on the passenger seat in my car.⠀ 🎨 ⠀ This morning I headed out early, while the kids slept in to do some sketching. ⠀ I am staying on the Petone side of Wellington. ⠀ The view across Wellington harbour is beautiful! Gallery visiting is a great way to fill the creative well. ⠀ We are so lucky to have so many world class galleries in Taranaki.⠀ This exhibition is I AM WOMAN at @percythomsongallery in Stratford. Loving working outdoors on these long, warm days. ⠀ Painting in my garden with all my muses at my fingertips is a dream come true. ⠀ All of my favourite wild flowers are starting to bloom along the roadsides, which just makes my heart sing! Love the minimalist feel that a fern has. There is a simplicity in the intricate pattern, a symmetry so pleasing to the eye. We are surrounded by so many different ferns in NZ, this is the most common in our garden, Ponga - Silver Fern. With spring, comes all the beautiful Koru spiralling from the centre.
