Sorry I haven't been on in a million years, but I regret to say I will be making a new main blog sometime soon. I wanna come back to tumblr (here and my history blog) but this blog here is just such a mess. Too many follows and just too much to clean out and get straight. Amused that I've gotten followers and notes when I haven't even been on in a while! Just haven't been in a tumblr mood, no hard feelings to any of my followers you're all awesome! 

But I do have a rant. 

It seems like a number of anti-feminist I see have a problem with the area of feminism that as far as I'm concerned isn't even real feminism. The ones who exclude women of color and transwomen. The ones who seem to have no problem harming others. There's nothing wrong with admitting then men get abused too. There's nothing wrong with seeing all genders as equals. There shouldn't be anything wrong with being a feminist, especially in a society where patriarchy has been ruling for so long. Sexism and an overly patriarchal society hurt ALL genders, not just women. Men are expected to be just so just as women are. And of course people of all gender identities get hurt too because they dare to not be the very gender they were designated at birth. They dare to be themselves. Yet for so long our society has been down on people being themselves. Well, I guess white vanilla heterosexual males with no real quirks could be themselves as long as they don't support equality and all, ya know? 

I do have a little dream that one day we can all live in a society where people can be the gender they truly are in their mind. That we can all either shave or be hairy but not get shit about it. That anyone can be free to wear makeup or any clothes they prefer. That we can be as sexual or asexual as we please. We can be promiscuous or prudish! We can polyamorous or monogamous or be with no one at all!  We can love who we please and be into who we want to. We can have whatever body type we want. Yes fat people know they probably have certain health risks but that doesn't change who they are and what they are happy with themselves as. It isn't your body so please settle down. Same with skinny people. Let everyone just have their body.And let's all practice our beliefs and not force it on others. We can just... BE WHO WE WANT TO BE and not be pressured or feel like shit for who we are. 

It pisses me off that people are so quick to write off movements like feminism because of the bad eggs that get focused on more than they should. The only reason we should focus on those bad eggs is to make an example of what feminism ISN'T. 

Now, I do know there's a sect of anti-feminist who are literally anti-equality. There are people alive who feel women shouldn't be allowed to vote or have certain jobs and have to look and act a certain way. Racism, hatred of any sexuality that's not heterosexual... and all that jazz. Those people are like... I don't know. I don't know what to do with them.

I'll probably get some hate or people unfollowing for this post, but oh well. I know my beliefs have made a lot of shifts. I'm gonna be 24 in February. My beliefs are bound to have evolved a lot even in the past 5 years let alone 10. I live and experience and observe the world. I've come a long way on many sides of the belief spectrums to be where I am today. If you can't at least respect that then we probably won't get along. Also, this is my blog so I kinda am allowed to write my thoughts....
