Why professional drivers are leaving the taxi industry?
Taxi prices in Moscow may rise due to intensified competition among aggregators. This opinion was expressed by the analyst of the group "Finam" Alexey Korenev on October 11. Airport Taxi In Tunbridge Wells Vechernyaya Moskva decided to find out what was really going on in the taxi market of the capital and turned for advice to the chairman of the Taxi Forum public movement and the founder of the Taxi Forum website, Oleg Amosov.
Prices in this area have long been below the level of business profitability. The founders of companies are trying to extract investments and transfer them to other projects. Large and small firms are closed. Recently, the large Mostaxi company announced that it would cease to exist. And it was one of the leading corporations with the participation of municipal money. Earlier, Nancy had gone bankrupt. The fleet of these organizations was 6.5 and 3.5 thousand cars, respectively.

The transport manager explained that the main reason for keeping prices for a trip at a low level is dumping by aggregators, first of all - Yandex. According to Amosov, this process has been going on for several years. In five years, prices have dropped by 70 percent. One kilometer by taxi in Moscow, according to the creator of the forum, costs an average of 21 rubles. Taking into account standing in traffic jams and in view of the constant rise in fuel prices, the maintenance of the cars of the taxi company themselves does not pay off. And the cost of processing an order from an aggregator is a ruble. They are not worried about the listed problems - they just receive income from those who carry.
Oleg Amosov also drew attention to the cost of public transport, both in the capital and in the Moscow region. According to him, today two or three passengers can join together in a taxi for the money that they would have spent on a bus, or even cheaper, covering the same distance. This situation is not normal.
In a number of regions, the Yandex taxi ordering system has long been a leader: this aggregator controls up to 80 percent of the sector in cities with a population of one million. There are also large taxi companies in Moscow - Uber, Gett, City-Mobile. They take away the lion's share of the market from ordinary drivers. But in reality there are more than 50 aggregators in the capital, they process 20-40 thousand orders per day, the expert explained.

Amosov said that most of the published "studies" on this topic, which claim that the average earnings of a taxi driver standing "on the street" is 70-80 thousand rubles, and a third of such taxi drivers are "illegal", are outright lies.
The passenger transportation specialist explained that new bills are being prepared, according to which all data on passengers and transportation will be transferred to the regulatory authorities directly on the trip. He said that many companies would be outlawed, Taxi Tunbridge Wells because the software for transferring this data to the Ministry of Transport and the Tax Service is now available only from the five largest aggregators. All other firms will be kicked out of the market.

According to Oleg Amosov, for the taxi market to exist and develop, the prices for trips must be doubled. Otherwise, the trend of professional drivers leaving this area will continue. The specialist said that, according to the traffic police, in the spring of this year, 62 percent of taxi drivers were visitors from neighboring countries, about 15 more were from the Russian hinterland. Moreover, having looked around and managed to establish at least some connections, these visitors leave the taxi, because, according to Amosov, the work is hard, and the earnings are small. They are replaced by new drivers without any experience. The threat of road accidents is growing, the culture of service and the level of passenger safety is decreasing.
Accidents in Moscow involving taxis occur every day. Cars are idle in taxi companies. They are trying to rent them out. Still somehow individual entrepreneurs work on their cars. At the same time, there is no "magic pill" from all this. No adopted law will immediately correct the situation. Only a strategic program under the control of the government can bring order: slow steps, regulation, coordination and control, Amosov explained.
The editorial staff of Vechernyaya Moskva contacted Yandex to provide an opportunity to present their version of events, Crowborough Airport Taxi but a representative of the corporation said that such a conversation was impossible - all suggestions and wishes should be sent to the mailing address indicated on the website.
