A/N: While there are going to be a lot of famous historical and mythological characters in this series, I am not sticking 100% to factual backstories from history or stories that they come from. So when that all comes in please don’t be in my asks saying “but that never happened to *insert famous figure*!!” It’s just going to be lightly based on them if that makes sense… 💜 

I’d recommend reading the prologue in my master list before starting chapter one

Their home was small, definitely too small for seven people to be all in one house.  Two bedrooms and a small kitchen, living room area, two bathrooms to share between them and a garage to keep the car that each household was issued.  Yoongi often missed his life outside of Red Brick.  Especially on days where he was woken up by Jin’s snoring from the bunk above him.  

He shared his room with Jin, Namjoon and Hoseok, his three younger companions Jungkook, Jimin, and Taehyung shared the other room.  

It seemed Yoongi was the first one in his room awake, the bright light of the start of a new day was trickling in through the tiny window in the middle of the wall. Yoongi pulled himself up from the bed, sitting up groggily and letting out a deep sigh.  He stood and peered out, observing the small neighborhood that had been his home for the past 3 years.  He’d now adjusted to life here, it was simple.  There were 5 different neighborhoods of prisoners, many houses packed with too many people the same as his.  It could be worse, he’d heard in the past that prisons were just small cells and you wouldn’t be allowed to do most of the things they were still able to here.  Like driving their own car, or even making their own food wouldn’t have been allowed.  He can’t imagine how suffocating that would’ve been.

But then again, those prisons didn’t have the Escape War.

I hate it in fics when the mc’s personality changes depending on what’s convinient during a certain moment in the fic. like, one minute she’s a bad bitch and the next she’s the weakest, mushiest person in the world. I’m not talking about having a soft side btw, she literally turns into a dense little bitch for no reason. and then she goes back to being tough as fuck again. like, choose who your character is and if they change, at least give us a reason why. believability, ever heard of it?

Chapter One

Incheon International Airport is abuzz with excitement, paparazzi from multiple companies all pushing and shoving in vain attempts to be as close to the plastic roadblocks that have been set up indoors. Elbows are thrown, shouts ring out, and cameras and jostled, each and every person too focused on their goal to remember basic human decency. Dozens of guards in uniform try to calm the rowdy crows to little avail, their presence being nearly completely ignored.

There’re fans here as well, but all but the most aggressive of them have been knocked to the back of the group, the only things visible are the large signs they hold over their head. Some are kind and encouraging while others are written in spite and anger.

No wonder youdidn’t.

She smiled her gentle smile at you as she opened one of the doors and letting you enter first. You mumble a thanks before glancing towards the back of two heads you could see from where you stood. One blonde, the other black. They sat on a large three-seater sofa while a love couch – which made you snort internally given the circumstances – was placed across from them. Just then, Solhyun – the consultant looking after your case – glanced up from her seat.

“Ah! Y/N come on in, yeah,” She nodded encouragingly as you took small, quiet steps – thanks to your flats – towards the couch that you assumed was going to be where you sat, facing the other two men. Speaking of; they had also stood up with Solhyun as she waited for you to come forward.

“Hello,” You went for a handshake but Solhyun pulled you into a gentle hug.

“How are you?” She asks as her greeting with a bright smile on her face, not waiting for you to respond before she is introducing the most important people – and the ones you’d been nervous as hell to meet.
