I’m built upon empty words & I love yous broken bones and bed sheets sprawled and messy from all the nights we didn’t share I am all of yours and none of my own I stepped outside my body and danced in my tube socks in the living room as a ghost so the two of you could be alone with two hearts and half the love while I learn to fill my empty stomach off your words and I love yous learn to make the bed the way I wish

I wish I could tell you I will not break my bones to make room in my bed

but the truth is I would give the clothes off my back if it would make you happy

so I clean my room and pray you’ll come back to visit
